My vote goes to Angry Gran Run. Glad to see it in the poll I'm also enjoying Sonic Jump but it could be way better, the dissapearing platforms are frustrating. And I won't vote for a doodle jumpish game that costs $2 with IAP!
F***. Why does Sonic jump have to be in the final list? Other than havin Sonic in the game, well, ugh. I mean it's decent, but game of the week? Sigh... Oh well. Not everyone has the same taste in games.
It looks like sega is trying to make more casual games designed for iphone type devices. I guess in some ways, it is smart for them to enter these types of games, it's kind of sad seeing names like Sonic or Zaxxon being used for that purpose. I don't particularly like doodle jump, even though it was one of the first games I bought when I got my iphone cause it was in the top 20 games, so I just bought it. Then realized, it wasn't really my style. So not playing on buying sonic jump. But zaxxon, couldn't resist getting a space motion runner. It is an ok game, the inapps are ridiculous, new planes are 50,000 coins, you get like 100 coins every game, crazy. Actually I am hoping it goes freemium, and we get an early adopter bonus and can buy some new ships or something, cause the inapps are wacked. But the graphics look really sharp on my new ipad. This week, I gotta do some thinking. Seeing some good remarks about zombies, gotta go do some research on it. I got carmeggedon, twist pilot, and skyriders so far,so will have to do some thinking about this one before wednesday.
A bit of both, there's quite a few titles there that didn't interest me so haven't purchased, the other free ones and the title I ended up buying I probably wouldn't vote for (not helped by the fact that it isn't on the list anyway ). Just a dry week for me personally.
Yeah, I can understand, this is one of the few weeks for me too that I don't really feel really passionate about one particular game. Lots of decent titles though like skyriders, twist pilot, true skate, zombies, carmegedon, angry gran, sonic jump, square planet and others. Angry gran and square planet and carmegedon got for free, and are all solid games. Actually it looks like square planet is in the lead, didn't hear much about it, did some research, and wow, it is free, has ads, don't know about the inapp structure, but downloaded it, and it is fun too. Kind of like a cross between sonic and crazy hedgy. I can see why some people are voting for it especially being free and all. So making it tough to pick one for me right now. Kinda leaning towards skyriders, twist pilot, and square planet at this second, but things may change cause I am going to play them all, and see which one I really enjoy after a day or two.
LOL. A game that got a 1/5 from Pocket Gamer is in the lead (early and only by 1 vote. Personally, I think it's a pretty decent game ...far from that 1/5 review (what drugs were they on). The use of coins to open seceret levels is a little weird, but still more fun than I expected. It was a tough week for me this week. I love Carmageddon (reliving the old days) and I actually think EpicHearts is a fantastic KRPG/ARPG despite some quirks. But ultimately, had to choose Polara. Game is just so polished, great level design and so much more fun than any other horizonal runner in recent memory. And challenging - but never cheap. An iOS must have IMO (particularly for any runner fans).
Wow, I am losing it! Oops, guess I must have wanted it to win twice! Anyway, I voted for Skyriders. Also a polished, fun and challenging game - just in a different genre. Geez, I'm only 43. Alzheimer's can't be setting in yet. Could it?

I think this might be the first week I've actually played every single game in the list. Still an incredibly easy win by True Skate nonetheless. Addicted is not the word. It's become the app I automatically go to while I'm thinking about which app to go to next.
I still find it funny that a jumping game skinned as Sonic got a lot of nominations and ended up being in the final poll. Then again, Sonic has that effect. But the game... Ugh.
