Bah! Only one vote for Girls Like Robots? A 12 year old game, a non-game, and Puwang (seriously?) all have more votes than GLR? I didn't like Polara, but at least I can understand that vote. You people have terrible tastes in games!!!

I'm honestly surprised about Puwang on that list, but happy that people liked it. So far I only had positive feedback, and for me, knowing that people around the world like to play it is awesome I've been receiving very cool suggestions via PM's and twitter
Sorry - i picked Puwang up on Saturday after Crazy Taxi and Girls Like Robots et al. It's the only game I've spent time with this weekend apart from Skyriders (sorry another old concept).Puwang is the only game of it's ilk my kids have actually enjoyed. They just couldn't get into Minotaur Rescue. I am looking foward to getting back to Crazy Taxi though.
Kind of sad for mobile gaming when a port of a mediocre game from over a decade ago on a stillborn console that financially ruined Sega is app of the week.
Not at all. People love retro games, if Quake for example suddenly came out on iOS i'm sure that might be game of the week. You think its mediocre, many many other people dont. To have this game on my ipod to take with me wherever i want is great. What next ? Criticising when Baldurs Gate an old PC game might win game of the week in about 6 weeks ?
I disagree. Just because Crazy Taxi is popular here doesn't mean that there weren't any great games released this week.
I'll be the first to admit that I like Crazy Taxi so I don't discredit anyone who voted for it, but Polara is just such a beauty of an iOS game -- controls, concept and presentation wise -- that it just had to be my GoTW.
Yeah, seems like a lot of the seniors with a lot of posts are going with Polara. I'm torn between the two. Polara is fun, but this game just doesn't look good on the new ipad kind of close to 2x mode, and the developer seems unwilling to add ipad retina support. Both games seem like great games and have great reviews. I personally like driving games over endless runners, so will have to vote for Crazy Taxi this week.
My god, I wasn't able to nominate Beach Buggy Blitz. I played it on Android and surely loved it...though Polara and Devil's Attorney are better, this gets 4/5 all the same. Any chance of getting BBB to next weeks poll? Vector Unit are one of my fav devs and would love it if that's the case.
Unfortunately that's just the sad fate of many Friday releases, but there has to be a cutoff somewhere. I don't know why all games don't release on "release" day. I think more people would have paid attention to Polyroll if it came out with everything else.
I loved my Crazy Taxi purchase and im sure it'll played a lot in the coming days or weeks, but right now, it's just Polara eating my time, so that is quite a big impact on my GOTW decision. Also, Polara is like a sadistic mistress that makes me numb all over, but kept me satisfied all throughout.
well, crazy taxi is great... unfortunately it's a port and i played it already to death many years ago so, as E.T. didn't made it, my vote went to polara
I have decided to change my vote to Polara from Crazy Taxi. The developer has addressed my concerns, so I formally request changing of my vote to Polara. So now Polara should be winning on the popular vote.
