It never ceases to amaze me how many shills come here and shill like it's shillville and think no one can tell. To be more specific.. In the past hour, ichi went from 2 votes to 9 votes. 6 accounts with 0 posts all created less then an hour ago voted on itchi, along with the developer himself. Facepalm
For starters, that's against the rules and those votes are always discounted. And it's stated all over this thread that developers cannot vote.
This is technically against the rules of the poll. The main point of the poll is to be a fun little place where TA members (and TA members only) can vote on which games they like the most. Its fine to say "We got nominated for the TA Forums Game of the Week" on your fb or twitter but NOT "Vote for us on ToucArcade...." because that means you're recruiting other people to vote for you. Also you're not allowed to vote for your own game. All these votes will be discounted for certain, as they are all against the rules. This poll is meant to be a fun poll between toucharcade members, not one with problems of outsiders, etc....
Not this again. Ughhh.. As you say, it's meant to be a fun poll for members of the forum. Bringing in people just to vote is crazy (and kind of unfair for the devs of other games, who follow the rules, that board members do like).
What's really crappy is that, while I didn't get the game, it sounded like it had some positive feedback in the thread. It's just sad the dev had to tarnish his reputation doing something like this.

Touch Arcade is not a "walled garden". We welcome anyone. That said, it's not okay to have people come and vote for what is clearly a TA poll that aren't contributors. SIX of the 13 votes for the game so far have ZERO posts. And no, going and making a few posts doesn't help. I really do wish there was a way to make the poll that members need to be at least a week...or maybe even a month to vote. Again, this isn't some scientific poll, but a fun little thing that lets us see how fellow members feel about games. Stuffing the ballot is just plain stupid. Anyway, as long as those votes are removed. It's clear the game will likely not win. EDIT: Oh, and devs voting for their own game is also against the rules so make that 7 invalid votes....bringing you down to 6 so far. I think majority of the other accounts that voted for ichi are also quite dodgey.. I also noticed the ichi toll at 0 then all the sudden the dev came online and posted on his thread "everyone go vote" and got no replies, but suddenly,About 30 mins later ichi had 9 votes, that was even before he posted it to Facebook and twitter (I saw the FB and twtr posts) If you check out some of the obvious fake accounts you can see it was the dev himself, not these mysterious invisible fans that jump out to vote by telepathy, before the FB post was even made. One of the 0 post accounts actually says "co founder of stolen couch games" And another of the 0 post accounts has only posts about a game stolen couch games worked on for "crescent moon games" So those 2 are definitely the dev, as well as BMH,so 3 are definitely himself, so I think it's safe to assume the rest are also him when you take all the circumstances into consideration, ie time frame, 0 posts, and the fact he already faked 3.. Why not fake 6-7? Either way it wouldn't have won. But still, it's shameful he tried.

Totally agree, just had a look, is it 8 voters have 0 posts here, 1 voter has 1 post. They should be deleted from the voting as otherwise its a joke. Thankfully the original poster clicked the option to show the voters which is good. I havent played ichi but i'm not even going to buy/download it now, cant believe people try to rig the votes
Ease off guys, they asked people outside TA to vote - I won't count the votes that aren't eligible anyway, as I always do. Move on, please. And I almost always make the votes public, but sometimes if some other poll options are changed, the tick is reset.
