Dungelot... even at this point, is already a part of my 2013 GotY candidates already... If the devs add a few more content updates within the year, then it will have a permanent spot on my alltime favorites list.
Was Mauv released this week? I have only just discovered it. Its a great game! Might have missed it in last weeks vote
Joe Danger and Time Surfer and both fantastic in their own ways, but Dungelot takes the cake very, very easily this week. Amazingly fun - can't wait for more content updates in the near future.
Going to have to check out Dungelot after looking at this poll. Great time to do so anyways since it's on sale.
Having a tough time deciding. Really having been enjoying all four games I nominated: Joe Danger, Time Surfers, Dungelot and Fractal Combat X. As far as time spent, I probably have spent the most with Joe Danger and Dungelot, but all are fun. Hmmm....at this point, not much of a contest anyway.
Can't imagine dungelot being better than joe danger or time surfer, but noticed there is a free version of dungelot. Gonna give it a try before I vote.
Well, all those games are really good, but dungelot is a few levels above Joe Danger and Time Surfer for me. I actually hated Dungelot because of the "oops i f'd up early buyers with serious bugs, so i'll just f em up again with a sale" stunt, but after having to play it the next version which allows iOS 5.x users to play the game, everything was inst antly forgotten. Honestly, for a game this quality, i'd buy it for $10. One of the most satisfying games i've played on the iOS.
It's not IMO, it's one of those weekly forum hyped anomalies that you're left scratching your head over. It's fine at what it does, just does very little to capture me personally. But everyone's different and good on the developers if they get it.
Wondering why are the people giving opinions in a post, but not voting. Voted for Dungelot (I didn't like it in the beginning - did not find enough strategy first because of the too many luck factor -, but then got hooked).
I'd be curious to see how you find it. I initially though Dungelot seemed too cutesy and they advertised being a "casual" roguelike so expected to try it out as a brief diversion and to support the developer for being so active and transparent in the upcoming thread but then found myself pulled in and have been playing it far too much since then.
^Surprising thing is that Dungelot's actually pretty hardcore with the enemies it throws at you and how you should adjust your strategy based on the items you are getting. And the deaths... You'll die a lot before you get to unlock the assassin.
