I second that motion. Crabitron has the most innovative use of touch screen controls, crazy ideas and addictive gameplay I've seen in a long while on the AppStore. Too bad it's iPad only, as it probably won't get many votes here for that reason alone.

That was probably the original upload date or possibly it was mistakenly released and immediately pulled down. It did however have it's full release the night of the 18th making it officially a Friday (the 19th) release, meaning it was eligible for last week's poll, not this one. It's unfortunate, but them's the rules. Many worthy Friday releases in the past have suffered the same fate.
House of the Dead takes the cake for me. Random Heroes 2 is great as well, but in need of an update. Robot Unicorn Attack 2 sneaks into third place. Although I didn't purchase Lego Batman or Talisman.

Agreed! I think a similar thing happened with Bobbing and it was accepted. Regardless of if it technically came out on one side of the line or the other, look at all the noms and how active it's thread has been this week. It's clearly a Game of THIS Week. : )
Nope, Bobbing was on the poll the week it came out (and somehow it only managed like 4 votes). We can't really start making exceptions. There's a cutoff date for a reason. One exception opens the door for people calling for exceptions every week. It's the sad fate of Friday releases on the GOTW poll, but I think it needs to stay that way. Either that or permanatly bump the cutoff date to Friday so only releases through Thursay go to that week's poll, but I'm not sure that makes sense. Who knows though, E7 has made exceptions in the past that surprised me. There was a game that was allowed on the poll once despite being out a very long time because it released a massive update. Edit: Is there even going to be a poll this week? It's Tuesday already

Touche on that one, but I didn't know what to do and still don't. I believe the end decision was to add it because of the entirely new version. It wasn't an update strictly speaking. I cast my vote based on the game that eats my time most, while all during that time the game makes me happy. For my GotW, i never choose what i think is the best game, but rather i choose which one satisfied me and got me hooked for whatever reason. I may be the only one to make this pick, but im proud of it. My pick: Iron Man 3 ...and proud of it.
Tough choice for me, Talisman, House of the Dead, Gun Commando and Random Heroes 2 i picked up. Been playing all 4 a lot BUT i've been playing Random Heroes 2 more so that gets my vote
See, we're in that situation regarding voting morals again. I've only played RUA2 from that list and I think it's decent, but there are a couple of others I've got a feeling I might enjoy more, if only I was ready to drop the money on them. So... Robot Unicorn Attack 2 it is.
