I only got Ninja Pong and Zombie Parkour Runner out of the original list -- both good games, but not worthy of a "Game of the Week" title. Also got Dawn of Magic, which showed promise at first, but utterly failed. Quite a few I wanted but can't play so I'll sit out on voting this time around.
Maybe you're missing the point that this is an iOS website, and we don't care about games from other platforms here? Comparing iOS games with console games is ridiculous. Z2 has nearly as many votes right now because quite a few people don't have access to it due to tech limitations or their unwillingness to pay $6.99. If both games were offered for free to everyone who voted, and if everyone was able to play both of these games, MC3 would probably have 80% of the votes, minimum.
So you speak for everyone on the website now and are going to try to argue backed up by some figures you just made up, I love how you make excuses for people you don't even know(If only all of us had the newest hardware and made $2000 a week, then everyone would just vote for MC3 for GOTW and everything would be right in the world). And I never compared anything to a console game so I don't know where you're getting this from, I simply stated that MC3 is an experience that you can get from any platform. So back off the attack button there commander kill, what are you mad I shot down your platform defining comment?
Attack? I was asking you a question. Do people here care about games from other platforms? Do you even have the game? What right do you have for comparing the two games if you don't own both of them? You indeed compared MC3 to games on other platforms. Why else would anyone care that they can play a modern FPS on something besides the iOS? Maybe you should make a poll on how many people that voted for Z2 actually have MC3? Speaking for the whole website? Under 30 people is less than 1% of the this website. Also, are you telling me a side-scroller shooter can't be found on every other platform? They're more common than modern FPS games. Maybe if looked around TA, and saw the threads asking "Are Gameloft games worth buying anymore?", comments like "I'll wait for it to go down to $0.99," and "I have a 2nd gen. device," things would be much clearer for you. Besides that, I don't mind if your opinion is different. That's the point of having an opinion. Also, hardware that's over two years old is hardly near, and if you need to make two grand a week to be able to drop $7 for a game...and I'm the one making up numbers?
I say it was an attack because you rationalize things with numbers that don't exist. And yes I have both games but I only purchased MC3 because my bother. Yes I've seen the same comments but equating those unrelated comments to another game don't really add up. Are you new to the internet because I can tell when someone is talking down to me and name calling, are you serious? What name did I call you? Commander Kill? Wait, are you still suggesting under 30 people represents all of TA and that a side-scrolling shooter is rarer than a modern FPS? Oh, and not buying games made by Gameloft along with not having a compatible device aren't related to buying MC3 either right? Numbers? Theres many games which i can experience on other platforms, in some cases better 'experiences' on an X-Box etc. But this is an iOS site, i only buy games for my ipod so dont really care about an 'experience' which I can get on any other platform. I dont have 'any other platform' so for me to have MC3 on my ipod is brilliant. Theres a reason why Nintendo and their handhelds are struggling and instead iOS is now recognised as a great games platform For me its the best release this week (there are some other really good games) and the ability to have a great version of MC in my pocket which i can take anywhere and for the cost of a few dollars is brilliant. We should be happy theres a quality game like this out instead of bickering over nonsense
Where did you get I was still suggesting that from what you quoted because It doesn't say anything about it there and I never suggested 30 people was all of toucharcade, I was talking about you using the word we when you're only talking for yourself, so try to stick more works in my mouth. And yes those comments aren't necessarily related considering they weren't all directly talking about the game you're talking about but were general comments. Now you're trying to say that your made up number is some how equivalent to the real number just because MC3 is leading this poll, bottom line 80% does not equal 43.48%, and 43.48% is not a majority, you have to have over 50% to have a majority or do you not understand what a majority is? And I don't care about making a poll, so talk down to me about something else. Edit: I'm seriously done with this conversation because you just keep trying to say I said something other than what I did and the mods are going to love it when they see us still bickering about this insignificance. If you had read the rest of my posts and didn't just take this one out of context you would know that this statemen was about why MC3 is not a platform defining game but I agree with the rest of your comment.
Wow, things are getting pretty testy here. This is just a fun little poll. And even if it is named TA Forums Game of the Week, the low numbers show that it is indeed a small percentage of people and not to be taken as the "gospel of TA". I'm sitting out this week because I do have a 2G and don't think it would be fair as I think a few of the games this week truly are of the caliber that are worthy of GotW that I can't play. And the games I could play -- aside from Zombieville 2 -- I didn't feel were worthy enough (haven't gotten Z2 mainly because I really never got into the first one). Some weeks I will still vote if I feel strongly about what I'm voting for, even if there are others that I can't play. Anyway, I don't think this "poll" is something to get all worked up about. Angry Birds would probably be the all-time-favorite game of ALL iOS users. But that doesn't mean it's the best game out there. It's all just opinion.
If all this poll is going to do is create fights then maybe we shouldn't have them anymore. Of course there is going to be a mix of games on the poll because there are a mix of releases. One week an iPad game won - does everyone have an iPad? No. Does everyone have an iPhone 4S? No. Games are coming out for that. So vote for the game you think deserves it - forget cost, device, compatibility - all of it. Stick to the poll. Stop fighting and we can continue what I thought started as a cool diversion. Like anything though, things get out of hand and have to end sometimes. So either turn it around or it ends. Too much work to be monitoring something supposedly fun.
Fair enough, I think I'll just stick to casting my vote and posting which game I voted for in this thread. I just find it ridiculous that people are trying to influence other people's votes through comments like "Game X deserves it more than Game Y" when it's just their opinion.

While obviously some discussion is encouraged, jamming a game down someone's throat or dismissing it outright are silly and uncalled for. Arguments are just outright laughable frankly, but do make it hard to keep the thread on topic. Hard to see: I voted for "Monkey Preschool Lunchbox!" posts intermixed with full on rage walls of text. Hopefully people know and are mature enough to realize that posts are opinions and not fact. If they vote for a game simply because someone else said X is better than Y, then shame on them.
I voted for Zombieville 2. Why? Cause I am playing it f*cking 20x more than I am playing MC3. Is MC3 a bad game? Not by a stretch! The MP is... amazing. A little laggy, but amazing and I love it. But Z2... my god I can't put it down. I simply can't. I find myself throughout the day putting in a couple rounds here, a couple rounds there. Then at night when I wind down for best, I play for like 2 hours. Mindless fun it is.
