Good points. I wasn't necessarily saying that people voting should be "regulars". If you're new the forums, that's great. But joining just to vote in this contest is kind of silly too. I think that's one reason why devs aren't supposed to vote in the contest for their own game. And I do think an issue came up in an earlier GOTW thread where a dev had posted on Twitter to come here to vote. If it's a great game (I can't say for sure because I can't play it!) then trying to delibrately "stack" the vote is unnecessary. Just my 2 cents. I agree with crunc just remove the 0-post votes, newbies that are actually participating are more than welcome! If the 0-post votes are left, then whatever, as I said before it's just a fun little contest.
I've been posting on the main page article comments on and off for years, as well as reading the forums, but this 'fun little poll' convinced me to join. It simply is one of the best simple arcade shmups I've played in quite a long while. And I have hundreds and hundreds of iOS games to compare it to. I do occasional writing for a little retro game blog in Australia and will be upping my efforts and reviewing this, and heaps of other retro style iOS games, in the upcoming months. I won't try to appear spammy and give the url out, but if anyone wants the address just PM me. So yeah, one less zero post person has voted... This must be a pretty good forum if this is the most bullshit you've seen. Maybe being online for the last 20 years has made me immune to most of the crap that appears on forums.
The only one of these games I have played is Gridrunner, so normally I would not vote, but since it is so amazing...
Congrats to the winners! New thread is up here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=124222
