Just a quick question that might have been answered elsewhere (sorry). Does TA earn somekind of provision when we click the links provided by the site? Links seems to indicate so. Not being conspirational or challenging any intregrity issues, as I have worked in the press for about a decade, so I know rotten fish, when I see them, and this doesn't smell - even if Eli can be a smart bitch at times. I just mean to make sure that it is worth going to TA clicking their link, whenever a game makes me wanna buy it through other means. As I want to support an awesome site for mobile gaming.
Surely so? I mean, having their game on TA is basically promoting the game outside of the App Store, so I would assume they get some type of compensation for it.
Yes, any link that can be affiliate-ized is automatically done so. I think we get something like 2%? Maybe less? The kicker is Apple has really reeled back how their linkshare programs work, affiliates don't get any kind of credit for IAP purchases... So, for instance, if you found out about Clash Royale through our review, downloaded it through our link, and spent $300 on IAP, we see none of that. But, hey, any little bit helps.
Well let's admit...none of the guys on TA spend on IAP because F2P IS NOT WHAT ANY OF US HERE WOULD EVER TOUCH. I kid, I kid. Glad you guys at least get something, b/c I get 90% of my apps from using TA links.
Glad to know. Sorry about that really lousy share though, the lack of IAP is really f*cking you in these F2P times, hardly makes it seem worthwhile, but I guess everything counts. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Always nice to be able to support you guys, since I do not use Patreon. Guess I have to remember to buy any premium stuff through you.
