Found this program while watching some YouTube videos of people playing Linkin Park's "New Divide" (say what you want, it's a half decent song ). Anyways, basically what you do is find a midi file of the song you wanna play (simple enough, I've already found like 50 Green Day ones), load it in the program, hook up your electronic keyboard or midi keyboard to your computer, and play it like a much more complicated guitar hero. Learn the song well enough, you'll be able to actually play it on a regular piano/keyboard. This is awesome for me since I hate/can't read sheet music and aren't really interested in classical music that much (but if I am, just load a Beethoven midi ) It's free, but there's also a $16 learning version that gives you a few tools to help you learn playing the more traditional way. I'll probably reluctantly get it cuz reading music might be useful later on. I'm gonna go pick up a midi cable tomorrow to test it out. I'll come back with impressions. Kk, here's a video, and the website. I'm ridiculously excited about this if you can't tell by the juggernaut of a paragraph I just wrote https://www.synthesiagame.com/
Pretty old, but still usefull. I use it all the time in my room when everyone is asleep and I can't play the real piano.
Do you need an electric piano for this? I never thought my baby grand and Grand piano would be so useless at a time like this...
Anyone here know where to find some free sheet music to print out? Can't afford to buy it at the store for each song...
