Hello. First, if you are using Itunes Match then you need to download the songs first in the Music app. If not, Apple got rid of DRM in 2009, the problem is that I've tested the game with newer songs so this took me a bit by surprise. Apparently, if you've downloaded your music before 2009 even your iCloud songs are DRM protected and the only way to get rid of this is to upgrade to iTunes Plus which is 30 cents/song. I understand if you are angry (I know I am) but unfortunately I can't do anything about it except maybe update the game description. I am very sorry about this situation but I would like to assure everybody that songs shorter than 22 minutes, downloaded from iTunes after Apple got rid of DRM or that were upgraded to iTunes Plus, do work .
Thanks! Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and get featured by Apple (one can only hope). Right now I'm thinking of ways of making the game more "gamey" so if anybody has any suggestions or advice then please tell me.
This comment has really put me on the threshhold of purchasing now. I'm a huge fan of these types of music games but this one has always struck me as more of a fancy visualiser than a game. Anyone care to convince me otherwise? I do believe I'd love this game if it was a legitimate "game"
Well, to tell you the truth the complaints about the gameplay have taken me by surprise a little bit. From what I've seen during testing most beginners are disoriented the first couple of playthroughs so I tried to make at least one game mode as frictionless as possible (and ironically even then I had complaints about this). I actually expected to hear a lot of negative feedback about the game being too hard. You see, if you try to 3 star a song in Wave mode the game is hard, and if you compete against friends to get the highest score in flux the game becomes very hard and quite strategic (you have to make quick decisions if you change the color or not). I guess I should give more feedback to the player when they get stars/a good score but besides this, I'm not really sure how to change the game without spoiling the fun for beginners. So I want to ask everybody the following questions: Can you get stars in wave mode? Do you find it frustrating? Should I build a perk/leveling system around the number of stars you've gathered? And again if anybody has suggestions, please post them.
One idea is having like a 2/3 second period before a song starts so we can see what the song is like at the beginning Another idea is having two menus at the song selection screen, where one can do all of the songs like it does now, and another can show us what songs we've played beforehand
