Just installed itunes on my work PC and bought Great Little War.

At the moment itunes is empty apart from the new game so is there a way to install it onto my ipod touch without wiping everything else?

I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if itunes wiped your installed apps out if you try to sync, is there a way you could download it directly on the device. If it's the same account it might copy your apps from your device.

I'm sure someone on here must know if it works or not.

Your iPod touch can only sync with one computer-- if you sync it to an iTunes with only one app, everything else will be erased from your Touch.

The solution is to download it directly to your Touch over wifi. Using your Touch, attempt to "buy" it again and you will get a message "you have already purchased this item. Do you want to download it again for free?" Click the button and you're all set.

Just a quick question. If you are unsure that you have purchased a game or not in the past but want to re download it is there a easy way to find out if you have purchased it before?

Attempt to write a review for the app. If you have purchased it it will let you write a review (you can then just cancel out of that instead of writing it). If you haven't purchased it yet, it will tell you that you can only write a review/rate the app if you have purchased it.

You can also do the same thing with your home computer. "Buy" the app again on your home computer and it will tell you that you have already bought it, do you want to download it for free. When you say yes it will then tell you that you have to authorize the computer. Turn on "home sharing" and re-log into the app store and you should be good to go.

I sync mine with two. As long as they're both signed into my account there's no problem. The first sync on my second computer (Macbook) asked me if I wanted to transfer my purchases from the iPod, I said yes et voila, all my apps on two computers.

It's not possible to copy over one single app though. The entire thing has to be synced.
