I would really like to see a visualized stick with visible buttons for the guns and missiles.

Thank You for listening, I wish you lots of success with the game. I really like how you split up the campaign and the arcade mode. I will be playing this for a long time to come.:)

On the previous page the developer says they are working on a universal update.

If apple would only stop game devs from having to release on iphone 4 as well, it would be universal tommorow ;)

the iphone 4 from a developer standpoint is just not a 4th gen device, even compared with the ipad 1. (its only marginally faster than it, but its batched in with the ipad 2 and iphone 4s)

So we're basically building a slightly stripped version for the iphone 4, seeing as we're required to support it.. that's whats taking the universal version a bit longer.

its a bit of a bummer, as we'd be much happier to spec it from the true 4th gen and up. Now apple is basically saying the iphone 4 is the standard for which you have 2 develop (being the lowest common denominator). whereas the 4s and even ipad2 are factors faster.

but we'll get it done, glad you'r enthousiastic about the game, makes us work harder.

Really like they way this looks. It looks beautiful. This could be a really fun game. I guess I'll wait until the price drops a touch. People seem to be enjoying which is great. Art style grabs me.

Whaaaat... It's already only £1.49. There's not much of a place it can go to to "drop a touch"!

If you "really" (x2) like the look of it why don't you treat yourself?

Is there a virtual joystick? It appears it might have been added in soft launch? I literally can't play with tilt on the ipad. Especially a game like this. I will buy it and wait for a virtual stick update if need be. Looks amazing !

Someone mentioned a charity? Can anyone provide more info on this as I'm sure others would like to know? If it's common knowledge - oops!

The Charity part is an integral part of publisher One Big Game.

Their whole model is to publish a single game, and share the proceeds with charity. So they try to connect established game designers, such as David Perry to act as a sort of "director" together with a younger studio (Us, Little Chicken). Everybody donates their time for charity. And then the model is different per game, but in the end all the profit they make as a publisher go to charity.

They don't do this extremely often , but so far Chime and Winta and SXPD are games done this way. And they are a non profit organisation, so all the publishing profits (96% of it I believe) have been donated to charity so far. And any revenue they make from SXPD will also be donated to charity.

anyway its callled OneBIgGame, and its such a cool idea we decided to work with them

So Little Chicken is a regular studio, but its OneBigGame the publisher that deserves the kudos for being a charity publisher. Its a bit different, not investing your time with a big mobile publisher, but we could have never met and connected with Duke Mighten and David Perry without them, so its working out great so far. And we can recommend them as a great publisher to any other developers who like the idea of supporting charity causes.

Check out their work at http://www.onebiggame.com

So its a win-win proposition for a developer, they provide publishing services and promotion and recognition for your game, and they as publisher can generate a profit to donate for charity..

    @Muppettpuppet

I'll be sure to check out the website and I sincerely appreciate such a detailed response. Needless to say, bought the game on principal alone (& the virtual stick helps too). May your studio & this business model have much success.

    Keep up the good fight!

Ha ha its £1.50 !! Come on !!!

Again for the 500000th time thats why we get so much freemium stuff as devs need to make money. Its £1.50 !! Will a drop of 50p make so much difference!??!

Regarding the price drop, We felt that if you "soft-launch" you also are looking for feedback to improve the game and find any killer bugs, and in that sense its unfair to ask the full price. As you'r asking people to also take a little chance on the app.

This is what we did in the canadian appstore, and that feedback helped shape the updated version now live globally.

So we decided the soft-launch customers deserved a discount, and hence the $99 cents on the canadian appstore.

So perhaps that's weird, and not how others do it, but we felt that was a fair way of doing it;)

personally I don't believe in the entire privilege of early acces or beta testing. If you ask users to also feedback and review an early or the first version of an app or game, they are also bringing you the developer value, and that should
    be reflected in the price..

Not that the candadian version was broken, but based on it we added the arcade modes and such, so in a sense the feedback made for a better product.
