To use the purple blobs, you will need to find the third spell - the grapple - later on.

The loop room is tricky, but look carefully at the background when you enter one of the passages. If you did it right, a torch will light up. Do all four in the right order and you'll make it through.

The order for the loop room is top left, bottom left, bottom right, top right in that order.

    Hmm... Post deleted?

I hate the dwarven king. How to handle two torches, his axe, spooks and the cold ducks all at one go? ;-p

For the first 50% of his health, use the dragon ability to bring him down and then hit him with your sword. The last 50% of his health is a bit easier, just jump on one of the two platforms and you'll be within sword-attacking range. Also remember that lava hurts you immensely, so avoid that at all costs.
I also brought a potion along, which can help a lot.

Only switch to the alternate dimension to destroy his shield, then switch back. Still not an easy fight, but it would be damn near impossible while constantly in the other dimension.

Wait till you meet the ice one. :p

Grapple him, smack him, avoid his attacks. Once you hit phase two, it's smooth sailing from there.

There's a dimension switching ability? Damn, I didn't think this game could get any cooler, until now...

    Spoiler alert?
No biggy.. Anyways now that the cat is out of the bag, I can again raise my thoughts about how some parts of this game seem to be influenced by the legendry Eidos game: Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver!

    Don't you think so?;)

    Send in the Calvert

    I'm stuck in Florennum.

I am past the location where the spikes come down and you use a bomb to hit a button. After that comes some gaps you have to jump over with some fire bats and fireballs coming up at you. I can get past the first gap without problems, but the second gap with 3 fireballs repeatedly coming at you from below in quick succession has me stumped.

    Any tips? TIA!

Edit: title meant to be "Send in the Calvalry"

Edit again: Got it! Thanks for the help!

Just time your jump so that you go into the middle between two fireballs. Don't use your second jump immediately - time it so the second time you go through between two fireballs as well.

Jump through the arc of fireballs. Jump first when one fireball is about at the peak. Go under that fireball and the one after it, then hit your double jump to go over the next fireball and reach the ledge.

    Heh, it's alright, I don't mind. :)
Btw, any suggestions for what items to buy in stores? Or should I just buy anything I can afford? The last city I reached was the one right before the mountain/cave paths.

Don't buy swords. Buy the fire trinket. Save. Buy the Plate Armor. Buy the Magic Armor.

Alright. Will I be getting better swords later on my journey, or are they just not worth their cost?

You can find better swords if you take a few detours. Better to save for the Magic Armor.

Does anyone have sword stats or at least an upgrade progression? I don't know if I should spend half my gems to get a new sword from the store or keep the one I'm using from a chest

This game is incredible, but I've run across numerous small annoyances like the inability to see item stats or effects in the store.
