This game is a must buy if you enjoy any sort of card game. I have been playing this the past few days any chance I get, I haven't even looked at another game on my ipod. My girl loves watching me and helping me. I deffinetly suggest snatching it up while it is only 99c
good question. i would really like this to be answered. and, @dev just a few really nitpicky and stupid suggestions 1. on the appstore description pictures, you have some ugly fingers in the last screenshot. get a hand model 2. at the end of each battle, it says "you win". to me, i like to look at this game as more than an arcade game. it is deep, it is fun, and it is very engaging (everything that is opposite of a stupid iphone arcade game). when i see "you win" after each stage, however, it doesnt match and is kind of a turnoff. i would prefer something on the lines of "enemy defeated" or "battle conquered"... know what i mean?
Crash bug after accepting phone call Hey guys, I've REALLY been enjoying this game quite a bit, good job! Great bathroom game Unfortunately, I've just run into a nasty bug...repro steps as follows: -Playing level B14F -Fighting last enemy, Kobold Seargent -Make final move that will kill creature, receive phone call as move starts to execute -Accept phone call -Phone call ends, taken back to title screen of Swords & Poker -Swords & Poker crashes -Launch Swords & Poker, press Start Game -Previous game launches, play resumes and Kobold Seargent is defeated -Swords & Poker crashes -Launch Swords & Poker -Swords & Poker crashes every time I launch the game I tried restarting the phone, that did not fix it. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall because I've put quite a bit of time into the game and don't want to lose everything. Any ideas?
oh, im sorry, that sucks. ~try moving the icon to a different position. it probably wont do anything, but its worth a shot. ~hold down icon, hit X and then cancel ~launch game, then hit sleep button at title screen or shut down/restart at title screen idk. just some stupid suggestions
Thanks, those didn't work but they weren't stupid suggestions I have figured out that if I go into and complete a multiplayer game it allows me to get back to my game...but as soon as that kobold dies and I hit "done" on the bounty screen it crashes like the first time I ran it after the phone call. I should clarify that after that it crashes after I hit "Game Start", not right at launch.
finally played it for the first time last night since I purchased it. Good fun. I can see why it's becoming addicting. A good fun thanks
Game Impressions Wow, what a gem in the rough. Picked this up based on the opinions in this thread and man is this game great. Totally nailed the simple to play but lots to do formula and came up with a completely addictive game. I was initially thrilled with Dungeon Scroll, another attempt to blend a standard puzzler with RPG elements but quickly became bored with it and compared to Sword & Poker I now see why! This game just does everything right. Really nice game design, I'm so impressed with how many RPG elements they were able to seamlessly work in like a shop, levelling up (coin bag), treasure/loot, weapons, shields, magic spells, boss monsters (beautifully drawn at that) and even the dungeon itself, all easily navigable with 1 finger. Great stuff, kudos to the developer and I hope sales skyrocket so we can get updates with more and more stuff!
