This game is impossible, I got the dang sword again and got killed by dragon fire. I also had restore potions but of course I don't get to use them
Has nobody found the *other* shield yet? Will090, perhaps it is a tad unfair that you can't stay alive to drink a potion while a dragon is roasting the meat from your bones. Actually, no... no it's not. VeganTnT... *several* times? Oh... it's on, buddy.
Has anyone mentioned the Dragonscale Shield yet? I found one in a vault while noodling around on, I think, level 21 or 22. Since I had just found the Temple Shield only 2 floors earlier, I actually left the Dragonscale sitting there. I wonder which shield is "best", or if they just have different pros/cons... I guessed the Dragonscale would reflect fire damage...
Considering that's the first I've ever heard of it I'm betting it's the best. Paul mentioned a there was a shield that couldn't be burned so I'm sure it's that dragon's scale one you passed up. But I hear good things about thattemple shield... I haven't found either
Yes, the Dragonscale is the mystery shield. The Temple shield is certainly one of the top shields to have, too. With some of the stuff I'm adding, you won't want to be getting singed too much. Fire BAD!
Someone Better Lock Me Up Tonight whilst waiting for my hero to heal on the iPad I got bored and worked with the hero on the iPhone. Then continued playing both games at once. Clearly I have lost my mind and can see no reason not to sue Paul for damages. Well, either that or go to bed. Whichever comes first.
Doffie, when OS4 comes out for iPad, you'll be able multitask both the iPad and iPhone versions on the same device, and just toggle between them... how awesome is that? So that means you could play 3 games at once... 2 on the iPad, 1 on your iPhone. Hmm, maybe I should put a casino in the dungeon so that players can also get addicted to gambling while they're down there.
Lol casino. This game is addicting in the most extreme degree. I forgot to eat and sleep for 3 days because I was playing this game
I found a Lion orb somethingorother..... what does it do? Under the menu > use, I can select it but nothing happens. Confused!
Pretty sure you can't select it. It's just in your bag like magic sacks. But to answer your question a Lion's Eye increases your attack skill and finding the other eye makes you immune to fear.
I'd like to offer a few suggestions to improve this already awesome game.... * In the pause menu I'd like to see a note telling you what status effects you are currently affected by. If I quit a game and come back to it I can't remember if I still have strength or agility in use for example, or if I am suffering from fear etc. * A few more "detect traps" spells available in the game. * In the tutorial a section that explains ALL of the items and magic and what their effects are, or simply a screen in the pause menu. * The chance to customize what items/spells/magic are available on the context sensitive button in the top-right corner. Many times I've found something like Drift in a chest but then immediately want to sneak over a trap but accidently activated the drift spell instead. I'd like a menu that allows me to select which items will appear up there. Take it or leave it
Just rescued the sword again in hero mode. What a huge satisfaction. Seen so many new things, had to face so many unique situations. This game is so so so so great! What an entertaining ride again. Now I will try legend over and over again. Btw, the new minotaur really was a surprise and a hard boss. Thanks again for the best gaming experience.
Hey MG, Care to share to context sensitive system of sneak/disarm/search in regards to traps? -Like I think I understand, there is no disarming traps in a rubble pile, correct? If you step on one you are assumed to be searching and if more than a one off trap, each time you restep on the trap you'll retrigger it. -But outside of rubble, which traps are disarmable? I could have sworn that when it comes to dart traps, as an example, sometimes I have an option to disarm but other times I don't. -Which traps are not disarmable? Knowing, for example, that a flame trap is not disarmable once sprung, if I snuck onto the trapped square (I don't know which trap but I can see by the bump it is a trapped space), could I disarm the flame trap before it springs or, as it is not disarmable, will I automatically fail my attempt to disarm? Love that Spiked Shield! Nice to have baddies impaling themselves half the time so I can kill them twice as quickly!
- Traps which are sprung and leave a visible trap on the ground (flame and stun, for example) or are one-shot traps (ceiling traps) can't be disarmed once sprung. - Traps that you see that are semi-hidden (a change in the pattern on the ground, like a raised tile, missing stone, etc.) you can use sneak to step on them without triggering them. Once on top of them you will have an option to disarm, where you will have a chance of disarming them. If you set off a trap that becomes visible (see above) you won't be able to disarm it again. If it's something like a dart trap, you can keep trying to disarm until you do. - Traps in chests and rubble piles can be disarmed only if you (your character) knows there's a trap there by using a Detect Traps spell. Once you have a Detect Traps spell active you can try and disarm chest and rubble traps the same way as above. Note: Traps are visible on the mini-map even if you haven't technically found them yet.
Madgarden, this game is amazing. I can't really play anything else on my phone. All the other games just seem like a play-toy to Fargoal. Anyways, after playing Hero mode for a while and getting a ways through, I decided to start a Legendary and got to floor eleven, and level fourteen before I got cocky and got myself killed. Saaad paaanda. I have a quick question though, after this last run through. I found a lot of items like some bug amulet, and a few different types of shields, and I was wondering if you could perhaps post a list of what the items are and how they work and effect you, or your enemies. That'd make me incredibly happy. You may have already posted this, but I read through all 50+ pages and didn't see it. And again, fine game you have ported here. It's simply amazing.
I'm not sure if he announced these already or not but I know a few basic tips that might help: -Orbs work best in sets of 2. -Amulets will glow when in effect...so, for example, if you see the amulet glowing on your character when you've just been poisoned but notice you didn't take any damage...
That makes sense from the amulet I had in the Legendary mode. I was never effected by the wyverns "bad breath." I have an amulet that strengthens me on my new game (in heroic again). Decided to keep going on the heroic and finish it before I hop difficulty levels. P.S. - Thanks for the notes!
I've had a couple of crashes recently (dumped out to iPod main screen) and now I can't access the Equip menu without it crashing. Have I encountered a known bug? The game in question I began at the previous update but updated today to the new one.
