Not his fault! Somebody stuck a giant pile of iPad apps in the toaster, and they've gotten stuck! Now someone's gotta go in there with a +2 Fork of Dislodging and clear up the situation!
I love how it's still my fault, even when it's Apple that's being slow. WOBBLEZ! You'll be happy to know, the status changed to "In Review" this morning... so it should probably go live tonight. If not... it wasn't me, I SWEAR! Mindfield, heh
It's quite possible that with the Easter Holiday AND the release of the Ipad at the same time, that Apple is a bit backlogged, eh.
Can I make a suggestion.....? Could you please include an option in a future update to disable the battle commentary at the top of the screen (i.e. Chop! Clang! Swoosh! etc etc). Personally I only want to read all the other stuff and not a Batman comic. Just a thought....
But that's part of what makes it cool! Plus, you can keep a bit of a back-of-the-hand running tally of how often your shield gets hit and stuff. But I suppose if it was an option...
Is the light effect when an invisibility spell is used new, or was I just not paying enough attention? Also are some vaults / spirals of traps supposed to be empty / only have a pile of empty rubble inside?
Your hero isn't the only person in the dungeon If it's empty then it's probably that someone got there before you.
But can the AI get into vaults / navigate in and out of trap spirals without dying? Cause that would both be awesome and annoying
I've used levers to open a vault and by the time I get there some jerk has cleaned it out. I've even caught a dwarf still in the vault opening a chest :/ For the spiral traps I don't see why they couldn't. Full health, grab the item quick, teleport to avoid the walk back... it's definitely possible
The light effect, the green lighting you mean? It's always been that way. As for the vaults with missing artifacts, we'll just leave that as a mystery shall we?
Hey guys, I've been looking at this game, but I have never played a rogue game. I watched gameplay a bit but I was just wondering what kind of items and rpg elements there are? Also how much of a battery drain this game is? Any insights into these would be extremely helpful!
Got the update, thanks Garden. However, the flickering is still there; it doesn't bother me much but I thought you should know. Have any other improvements been made besides bugfixes that you can tell us?
Just got home to see the update live and syncing now. Thanks again Madgarden for swiftly patching up your already fantastic update. From this point on I shall blame my innumerable failures to retrieve the Sword on bugs, whether true or not, and shall sleep peacefully tonight believing NOTHING can stop me now!
RPG elements are rather light, if by RPG elements you are referring to story and customization. There is a back story as to why your hero is there, but your focus is purely on combat and delving deeper for the Sword, and then quickly emerging with your prize. There are many different items in the current version. You'll be collecting or choosing from many different shields, wands, amulets, orbs, spells, potions, ect. to assist you in your quest. However, SoF doesn't rely on these items to drive you. The impetus to play is to get down and back up. And with 3 different levels of difficulty to choose from, you're certain to find a version of this game that will challenge you and keep you trying again without aggravating you so much you lose interest.
Yes, the flickering lights before stair sequences are still here. Hope, you'll find the bug in the next one.
