    Keep 'em coming, darlin'. I'm sure it will be "awhile" until F2 Day. But I've always found that anticipation of something super is, in itself, pleasurable.

    Hi there,
    I'm new to this forum but i've been playing Fargoal for quite a while now and just like everyone here i'm a big fan!
    I came here cause i heard something about Fargoal 2 but hadn't find much info about it, untill i read a few pages back in this thread! Just watched the video, looking great by the way!
    I only have one sugestion to make: if that's possible, to add a virtual d-pad in some future update. I mean, looking at both, the video of 2.0 and the very fargoal we have now, a virtual d-pad would fit quite well at the bottom left of the screen, and the smart button at the bottom right. The map could easily go to the top right. It would even make it more visible.
    I dont mean to tell you how to design your own game, its just something that i've beeing wanting for quite a while in fargoal, and would be a nice addition! =]

    I'm just checking in to see how things are going and if you have anything interesting to report about Fargoal 2. Anything you've worked on in the last few months that you're particularly proud of that you'd like to gush about, eh?

    Hey overzero3, I'm really not sure a d-pad is the right fit for Fargoal. There's really no advantage to showing a pad on the screen vs. having an invisible pad that centers on where you touch the screen. And yeah, with the extra screen space taken up, it will kinda ruin the immersion a bit. Not likely going to happen, but nothing's for sure.

    DisconnectD, been super busy, working on Fargoal dungeon gen stuff, and my recent GlitchMachine app release as well. Will post shots once there's something particularly cool to see.

    Oh, I forgot to mention that I'll wait till the end of the universe for your game, pal.

    Would you slake my desires by giving me some sort of details on the quest system you are adding down the line? I loves me some questing.

    Also: have you played Mysterious castle and if so, what do you think of it?

    I haven't tried Mysterious Castle, but it looks pretty sweet for a tactics roguelike sorta deal. Might check that out!

    And I can't really give too many details, it's all so much in flux, and will evolve further over updates. However, quests/dungeons generation etc. is seeded, so this allows for re-playing the same quest, as well as possible social challenges using a shared quest seed.

    Just remember that Mysterious Castle isn't even nearly finished when you play it. When you get past the fact that you're playing an incomplete game, it's pretty cool. Ingenious concept and I'm excited as hell about the 2.0 later down the road. He wants to add quests and enemy forts and stuff. The controls are my only gripe, but I'm sure he'll nail it down. It also doesn't have a one life option yet but it'll be added eventually.

    As far as dungeon seeds in Fargoal 2, that sounds like you're trying to create a challenge mode/time trial type of thing. That neatly ties in with deceased heroes lurking in that previous dungeon too, huh? ;D

    CAN I HAZ INFO ON TEH MAJICKS NOW PLEAS?!

    Which class are you most fond of? I think I asked this somewhere else but I can't remember if I got an answer.

    I can't wait to try the ranger, personally. Is pick-pocketing in, perchance?

    I said I didn't have an answer, because I'm still working and not playing. :) Not going to divulge the skills and such yet either, sorry. All in due time!

    But really, what good would a thief be without thievery? Just sayin'.

    Yargh! I understand. I guess it would be dumb to have a non-stealing thief, haha. I kind of forgot thief was a class this time. :D I saw on your Twitter you mentioned shooting for March. YAY. I'll keep my fingers crossed for me and you both!

    Hum, sorry to hear about no d-pad, but i guess it makes sense!
    Just another question then, don't know if you answered this one before but...how well will fargoal 2 run on older devices? I mean, i have an ipod touch 8gb 3G (which is actually a 2G) and runs Fargoal just fine now, but i wonder if it will keep running that smooth! It's an old hardware after all!

    I can't guarantee that Fargoal 2 will support the old hardware, but it's currently working. It's a fair bit beefier though, and there are all of these new iOS features that makes it a real pain to try and support older versions... we basically have to enable/disable stuff like Game Center based on the hardware. We shall see. I don't imagine that Fargoal 1 will stop working on the old hardware, in any case.

    Will SoF ever be updated with a Retina app icon, because as of now it is really blurry.

    I don't post much, but lurk like CRAZY.

    Just wanted to say I'm looking forward to this release more than any other game on any system. I was a little bitter before, am better now. Recommend this to all my friends.

    And damn you all for bumping this and getting my hopes up. =)

    When SoF 1 gets updated next, I'll try to ensure that the icon is fixed. In the meantime, maybe just cover it up with a piece of tape or something since it's such an EYESORE. ;)
