It says in the article their whole deal is collecting trash and recycling and other trash related things. I'd call them rats.
That shot is beautiful. But then you know what a sucker I am for variety in dungeon colors. Just got killed through sheer stupidity and arrogance. Think I might wait till the update before starting another crawl. will my hair turn white before that happens? Tell me that that ain't true, Sir M.
I said that last year. Still, it's going to be a glorious day when it finally comes, right? I haven't played Fargoal in ages as a result and I'm so looking forward to my next trip into the dungeon. Actually I just bought Fargoal for iPad - I don't have an iPad yet but I've ordered one. Is Fargoal 2 coming to iPad too (probably should be asking in the iPad thread but seeing as I'm here).
Was just playing Pitman (which is quite nice and has got a lot of potential). But playing it made me want this game to come out even more! Sword of Fargoal really shines over all.
So, the one you bought for iPhone will become universal and upgrade to 2.0, the one you just bought for iPad will remain the "classic" version and will not upgrade to 2.0. Madgarden is working his butt off still. He's been working on connecting the different areas of the dungeon now, for the last few days. The sewers of Fargoal look sweet! He says he's over that critical "hump" now, and is just working on putting everything back into the game and making sure it works where it belongs. He really did strip this thing down and re-work it from the bottom up. I hope you all love it! I wish I could give you a more concrete time line, esp. for anticipated release, but the truth is, we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. We've resorted to the "sometime in 2011" answer. So, that's just going to have to do right now. Sorry. Madgarden works every single day though, and has since the beginning, no word of a lie. Well, except when the pesky wife makes him take a few hours or a day off to go visit family. They're beginning to think he doesn't like them, eh. Doffie, love, Madgarden has you in mind a lot when he's doing the colours for the dungeon. I'm glad you like it! And I'm pretty sure the game will be done before you go completely white haired...though I've always loved pretty ladies with white hair.
I assume this is due to the iPad version being published by Chillingo and therefore not completely under Madgarden's control.
Sort of... but it's more that we want to have both versions available, while going universal for both as well. So since we already have the two separate apps, we can keep the classic version with Chillingo (since that was the original deal anyway) and then do our big update for "our" version.
Okay, makes sense. You surely have a lot more freedom when self publishing and can use it as a fun experimental launching point for the Big Folk to see if they want to publish themselves as it were (neat, love it...but could you lose the glowing worm for the commercial version...).
I will never give up the glowing worm! Hey TEH_NINJ0RZ, as well as it is going, and it IS going well... the best estimate I can give is that it will be out before summer. And I surmise that you guys won't mind if it's a little sooner than that. Speaking of worms...
