    Germany, too! Under "Topaktuell".
Your game is next to "The Settlers", "Ravensword" and "Star Wars". :)

I can tell you a little bit... I'm still working on it, so it's basically how far do I get this week. :)

    * Bugs fixed - potion/lockpick etc. counting bug, and various other little things
    * Adjusted XP gain mechanism, lingering monster strength
    * Bats can make you sick
    * Some new behaviour for existing monsters
    * Adjusting difficulty to provide a better challenge, closer to the original (ongoing!)
    * Show tunnels on the minimap
    * Darkness/blindness limits player more appropriately
    * A bunch of new stuff I'm not talking about. ;)

    How's that?

I won! I won! Incredibly tense on the way up, the sword got stolen many times, but I got it back. Yeah!

Nicely done! I'm still working my way down, compared to most of you guys it seems painfully slow lol. Mind you I've died quite a bit, but that's because I wasn't thinking and rushing every level, which I found out later is a sure way to die a horrible death :)

I'm saving all my invisible spells for the way back up. Hopefully that will help!

How long did it take you guys to get back out? Did you see any of the warning signs?

I bought it, at first didn't like it but after some playing is really, really addictive.

In terms of being a fan of the genre, it's beyond worth getting. It's an incredibly polished and beautiful remake of a classic. It's endlessly re-playable and fun. It's worth more than every dollar you pay for it. But it would be important to do a little research on exactly what this game entails. If you're expecting a traditional RPG or Adventure game, this isn't quite like that. I'd suggest starting at the Wikipedia article for SoF here if you're completely unfamiliar. If you are familiar with roguelike games and are just wondering if this is a good one, it absolutely is. If you've never heard of the genre, but are interested, this is probably your best starting off point to get into it. I've noticed a couple complete rogue noobs have bought the game, and are really enjoying it.

Basically the game itself is amazing and totally worth it, it just really depends on if the particular genre is your cup of tea or not.

As a rogue noob myself, I can say that this is a great game, and I have been really enjoying it! It's embarrassing to admit that I am in my mid-30s and never heard of this game before. I do enjoy a good RPG (and grew up playing Wizardry, Might & Magic, etc), but never got into the dungeon crawler genre. Unfortunately these days I don't have a whole lot of time to play with a wife and baby boy, so this game fits in perfectly with the pick-up and play for however long I can. I just love the simple nature of the game -- I don't have to worry about managing lots of equipment, skill points, etc. I just have to fight monsters, find treasure, and make my way down.

I'm down on dungeon level 18 with a level 24 hero. A bit nervous about finding the sword and making my way out. :)

Wow, same here. With the wife and the baby i hardly have time to play as well. This is perfect for pick-n-play. The fast load times makes me play this game a lot. Dammit, I've been going up instead of down lol....I'm a total noob to this genre and although its not like a traditional RPG, you can tell the polish on the levels and the graphics (as simple as they look). It is a very solid well polished game and easy to use/control. Very worth the 3 bucks i spent on it.

    Hmmm...

So I finally got to floor 20 of the dungeon. I've explored every nook and cranny and I'm ready for my escape route. Problem is, the sword of Fargoal is nowhere to be found! Anyone else get this problem?

I don't think it's necessarily on floor 20 every time, just around there. I would keep diving down, apparently the sword floor is quite distinct and you should know when you've got there. Not 100% sure though.

It's on floor 20. You have to find the area of floor 19 where the distinctive blue and red staircase leading down is. They may be in a hidden area of 19, beyond a hole in the wall, or perhaps you have to change levels and try a different set of stairs down from 18 or up from 20 to get to the proper part of floor 19 that has the stairs you're looking for. But they're there.

Great tip, I'll search floor 19 for another way down!

It is definitely on floor 20 every time (for now). However... are you sure you're in the right place? There may be multiple dungeon areas on floor 20... if you are on the sword map, you will know it.

    EDIT: Beaten again!

I had to go down to 21 and then back up to 20 to find the sword area.
