I was just thinking that if frantic game play was what you were looking for while dungeon diving, legend mode might help you scratch that itch..hehe!

"Skip the sword and keep diving" -- that's my dream addition to this game. I have only retrieved the sword once, in Hero mode. And, while it was a whole lot of fun working my way up to heaven, you probably know that, for me, the game is all about exploring. I'm not a leader-board type, but do care about my personal best --- how deep can I go, how strong am I when I get there, what goodies I possess, etc. I am so looking forward to this update and the ones that follow! My iPad's battery has been dropping to 50% for the past few days and almost all of that is due to Fargoal addiction. Maybe I should get a life. No, forget that. Question: Is there a way to turn off the Crystal stuff at the game's start? I must have given the game permission to ask me about this right after the last update, but it's sort of a pain. If there's no way to get rid of it, permits you could add it as a choice in Options? Paul, do not go out in the sunshine (unless you bring a laptop), because a caged dev makes a great game even greater. But do take some time to play with your boys and take your terrific martyr of a wife out to dinner sometimes, eh?
Hmm, I don't think you can disable Crystal... is it nagging you every time you launch? And yes, if this all works out in the end, we'll take a nice long vacation. That's the dream, anyway...
What? Clearly Doffie is confused, I'd think a far better idea is to chain the Mrs. and kidsters to the floor in the basement with you. The last thing you need is your family TEASING YOU with information about the outside world and or contacting the authorities.
Will this game be updated to be an universal application so it will work with the iPad? I ask because I already payed $5 for it once, and I'm not keen on paying for a game twice when Apple gives developers an easy way to make a single application work on both devices. (See Wolfram|Alpha, SoundHound, Pandora, IMDb, Dragon Dictation, Instapaper, and LogMeIn). Especially when no new content/features are added to said higher resolution version.
Yes, every time I launch the game, it asks me can it use my current location. "No way!, say I. "Never" is not a choice, alas. Did I remember correctly -- that I somehow said yes to Crystal on first launch after update? Good re the well-deserved vacation, hope it happens before the kids are in college.
Noah, new stuff is coming to said higher resolution version in the soon-to-be-submitted update. I pretty much only play/test on the iPad version now, because it looks pretty slick. And no, we don't have plans to make this app universal, nor are we able to... the iPad version is published by Chillingo, and the iPhone version is self-published. So, we can't even combine them. Doffie that's odd and annoying with the pop-up... I'll pass the info along to see what we can figure out. EDIT: Doffie, we can't really control how this works, it's part of the way the Apple stuff works. But, you can go into your iPad's Settings/General and turn off Location Services if you want, that should work.
I had a few new ideas for this game today (damn you Paul for making this game, it's TOO good!).... Anyway, I think it would be fun if the sword was located on any floor between 20 and 25. I just think it would make the exploration a bit more involving - maybe it would only work on Legend mode for example? Also, wouldn't it be nice to have a "Freeze time" spell which allows you to sneak past enemies without any bother? However, the spell would be useless on the same floor as the sword. Can't wait for the update my man, you've got me hooked!
Hey wobblez! We might move the Sword around in the future, well see? But also... we'll be adding new artifacts that are also very cool and powerful, and that you can USE, so those will provide extra questing opportunities for the brave. Your freeze time idea is neat, and well... let's just say that you should wait and see what happens in the BIG update that's coming down the road.
i'm having ton of fun with this gem...too bad that i've got for free! the only thing i can do now is to buy immediatly the new characters via dlc...

I have found with these that if you are patient... after you get hit with one or two poison darts, just sit around for a minute to let the poison wear off. Just do not take so much that it outweighs your regen rate by too much, you should get through pretty easily.
