Yes, it might seem like yet another F2P gacha RPG, but if you keep at it, you’ll realise that it’s so much more. For starters, the story. It’s not your typical fantasy story. (although it has a cosmic fictional aspect to it) The story is quite dark, and truly immerses you in its world at peril and the characters. It doesn’t throw too many characters at you, unlike most games in this genre. So it’s worth playing only for its story. On top of that, the tactical gameplay. If you ever thought those Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem or tactical RPGs are too complex or daunting for you, this is a perfect place to start. It’s tactical but it eases you into its mechanics. It doesn’t try to throw too much at you too quickly. And finally, a feature that I just unlocked is what makes this game truly special and stand out among the rest. A separate story mode. Where there are different paths and depending on your choices, the story unfolds accordingly. And what I saw from their pre-release stream, there are different branches and endings to the story based on your choices. And they will continue to add more story content in the future. This game mode is special because here, the F2P elements don’t really matter much. You just select which characters you wanna take. That’s it. The rest is the tactical gameplay and choices you make that reshape the story. I mean the game is F2P. Unless you’re not into this genre, do give it a try. And stick with it, at least till the story mode unlocks.
