Not really, only a few people (I think) have died so far. There are only 100 or so cases in the US so its not that big of a deal.

There are over 900 cases in the US as of last night. Actually, let me change that, there are now 120 cases in the US, over 900 worldwide.

I don't see what the big deal is, and I don't see why californians are all bundled into a bunch of puckered butthole types of prudes, i'm a californian and I think this is just a game, why is anyone up in arms about it?

I kind of agree. Swine Flu is sort of a joke where I am (in the UK), the media are going crazy saying we've all got to be worried and careful to wash hands and shit, yet then they say only 5 people in the entire country has it (probably more now). But I can see it could be more serious in other places, but as long as they do it tastefully i don't see a problem with it. Think about other natural distasters. People die in hurricanes all the time yet you wouldn't look twice at an app that had you controlling a hurricane killing loads of people.
Isn't there an app coming out with those exact game mechanics? Where you use a tornado and control its spinning?

Thanks! I hope they don't either. It is really quite fun and rather benign. Regarding another question about the game mechanic. No, it is not like a tornado game (as far as I know). You catch and throw the pigs. You tilt and move the people out of the way. There is more to it than that, but that is the basic idea. We also hope to add new locations, power ups and world disasters (ala old school sim city) via weekly updates. Thanks again ladies and gents! Compound 1
