EDIT: We have a release date now: May 17th! - Trailer: https://youtu.be/T5Fvh65lT-E I'll be sharing some promocodes over the next few days. Stay tuned! Hi everyone, This is Sweeper Genius, a logic game that combines minesweeper, sudoku and picross. Basically, you play it like minesweeper: you read the numbers to know how many mines there are in the columns and lines, flag the tiles where you think there's one, and move on. We've added some special tiles to the mix to make things more interesting and dynamic. Levels are procedurally generated so you can never just memorize it, and it also adds a lot to replayability, of course. This is gonna be a premium, level-based game. This is me playing an easy level that has a bit of everything just so I can show what the game is about: So that's it, leave me your email if you wanna try it out. I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback! And please share with your Minesweeper-loving friends!
I don't have a non-mobile device to play on but it looks cool and you'd have my support with an iOS version #
Cool, thanks! We just have the browser and android version at this point because we develop on Windows, but I'll let you know when we have the iOS build.
Hey, just played through the first world and just need to say that this is FANTASTIC! For once, it's a minesweeper variant that's 100% logical, no guessing required, just pure thought and deduction. As a puzzle fan who has been disappointed with minesweeper variants time and time again, I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate this! I need to head off for some zzzs but will be playing through the rest of the available levels ASAP. This is really great!
This is awesome, we're really glad you enjoyed the game this much! It actually took us some tries to get to this design, the original idea was more like a memory than a minesweeper game. Guessing wasn't being as fun as we thought it could be, though, so we started to add thinking to the player's actions... eventually, Genius Sweeper was born. I've just sent you an email answering your PM, btw!
Oh yes, some people have been saying they can't play the browser version - the best I can do for now is offer an APK with the same build: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvlkadfqbkdyg4u/sweepergenius.apk?dl=0 We only have a part-time programmer working on this game so it may still take some time until we set up TestFlight to test the game on iOS, but I'll let you know when it's ready. Meanwhile, anyone interested can already leave their emails here or PM me and I'll invite you as soon as TestFlight is working.
Another gif for those who couldn't play any of the available versions. Being a lab sweeper genius isn't an easy task...
TestFlight Hey, For those interested in testing the game, we've just set up a TestFlight. Just PM me your Apple ID email (or post it here) and I'll send you an invitation to try!
Hi everyone, Took us some time, but we'll finally be releasing the game next week, on May 17th. It'll cost $ 1.99. The game contains 130 regular levels and another 55 extra-challenging ones. As I said before, they aren't exacly levels but more of "level templates" as every one of them is procedurally generated when you start it, so replaying the game is still interesting even after you finish everything. Trailer: https://youtu.be/T5Fvh65lT-E (it's in landscape because this is actually Apple TV footage hehe) I'll be dropping some Promo Codes around here until the release day, so keep an eye in the thread if you're interested!
Ok people, here's 3 promocodes: 3E4AAK4YEF4M X39TAF3NYNPM LHE7LKLKWJHE Please let us know in case you use one!
Looking forward to playing. I love minesweeper, very much looking forward to getting my hands on this game!
Awesome, glad to hear that! I'll love to hear your feedback afterwards! ---------- Not sure if the second Promocode was already taken, but here's another 3 anyway: AFLKFKN3N9LN JTJXNAXTMKWA K9AMRXMH6PP4
Im really enjoying this..starts out fairly easy but gradually gets pretty tricky. its kind of a mashup..reminded me of pitidots so i redownloaded that one as well.
Thanks! Just grabbed the first code, will drop some impressions later. Edit: Liking this a lot after the first three chapters. Nothing super difficult so far, but things are definitely getting more complex. One quick bit of feedback, on my iphone x the stars at the top of the screen are a little cut off by the notch. Not a big deal, just though the dev would like to know.
Thanks for pointing that out. I could never test on an iPhone X indeed and only tested on simulators, but apparently that isn't a 100% reliable way of doing it (mainly because of the notch). It ain't easy to afford one of those here in Brazil. At least the game is still playable, despite this one issue. I'll prepared an update to fix that asap.
