Well said, and similar with me though as I progressed I used launching with Ninja Man to my advantage.
Somewhere in between. (not counting medals, just to get through) I'm not saying they should suddenly make you restart if you died. Obviously, there has to be some balance to it. Just saying, I feel like I made it through the first levels well before I "should" have. Not because I was able to get through the level, but because I was able to get from one checkpoint to the next through lucky chances or repetition. And don't get me wrong. this is an amazing game overall. As a result, I want more. arn
to get the gold medals at least 12 on the level with the spikes, how can i swing over them? just through myself?
Agreed!!! Give us more!! But I see what you're saying now, and have myself made a few checkpoints by shear luck. So I see what you meant and that makes a lot more sense, it does take the satisfaction out of the check point when you know you shouldn't have made it.
I played it for about an hour and im still not past the first 5 levels, simply because it's so much fun swinging around! I'm trying to get gold but end up just swinging around like a maniac.
Let me preface this by saying I have yet to pick up sway (planning on it once I get off of work today). But I think I understand where you are coming from Arn. It immediately reminded me of the most recent installment of Prince of Persia. It's a fantastic game but there is one thing that they removed, dying. Instead of dying your partner in the game literally saves you and you loose no ground. At first I thought this was going to be incredibly nice (as the prince of persia games have, at times, been difficult) but upon playing I found it was quite the opposite. It's not that the game wasn't fantastic, because it was, but I did feel like the game for some reason had been "dumbed down" or that my actions had no real consequences so I just played through without a second thought and ultimately felt as though the game wasn't as satisfying as it could have been to complete. Anyway, like I say I haven't played Sway so this might not be the case, it simply reminded me of Prince of Persia P.S. I cant wait to buy sway, it looks so much fun. If this is has been asked, sorry for redundancy, but are their any plans to let you design your own character after you beat the game (in a similar fashion to little big planet?)
In case you missed it (why would you have?), Arn's and TA's review is finally ready: http://toucharcade.com/2009/02/26/a-closer-look-at-sway-from-illusion-labs/ Thanks Arn, good review!
BTW I kept wanting to mention this... someone in this thread or the Sway vs. ZB thread mentioned they love the cute little monkey... it's a FROG
other than mastering the lvls this game is too short for a 5 dollar...game not eveyone wants to perfect something before moving on...
