Feels like I've been stuck on Level U for ages. Got 6/10 once but it seems more luck than strategy. Any advice?
Like most of the toughies, concentrate on managing the skulls and let the actual objective come secondary to that, only going for stars when it means helping with the skulls; the star matches will keep adding up. Works for me anyway. Wait 'till you open Hard... Great game. Oops. @fiskadoro Brain fart...
Thanks! I did get past U (and V) in the end. Now I'm grappling with W. Despite its toughness, it keeps me coming back for more as you always seem to get so close.
Damn - I've just found that when an eye tile reaches zero an pd starts glowing, you still get about a second to quickly shuffle tiles around as many times as you can to get it cleared. This game is full of surprises!
Aaand completed! Is that endless mode a couple of people mentioned something that's going to happen or just idle speculation? That would be great to have.
Damn. Shame - it would be good. Hard to do though. Unlike games like Threes which get progressively harder, Swapperoo reaches the point once you've built the timers up on the abilities when it feels like you could go on indefinitely.
Not really -- that 500 move final level took me many tries to get. But it was probably the most engaging for me.
Game Center Achievements Anyone having a problem with their Game Center achievements not showing up? I've completed all the stages, but none of these achievements are showing up. I'm getting other achievements though.
Same for me on 6S+ Great game anyway, I will gladly pay for more game modes and/or levels. Free update would be much appreciated of course
Hi all, As you guys in particular seemed to be keen on an endless mode, we can announce that 3 new modes will be coming this Thursday in what we call the INFINITY update! First up is Endless mode - this is the mode we created based on the feedback in this forum, so I hope you like it The second and third modes are Gauntlet and Timed Gauntlet. This tasks you with completing stages A to Z in one life, so its pretty hardcore! The objective targets are lower than when completing each stage individually though, and the tuning is specific to those modes to make them possible and hopefully enjoyable. We've also added a colorblind mode which adds patterns, and some overall balancing tweaks. The achievements aren't fixed in this update I'm afraid, but we have got a fix for them that should follow shortly. Thanks, Joe
I reinstalled the game after this update and all my progress is saved (though i don't see it at all in my icloud). Great coding, Devs! I'll give level T and Y another go. Hopefully i can complete the game and unlock Hard mode. Finally. Just played Gauntlet and made it to stage U. Though everything is a bit easier, indeed, stage T made me use all my three powerups, argh! No time for the endless mode atm, but i'm looking very forward to play it. I really have to settle my expectations though. I can't even tell you why mine are so hyped...maybe because of the long wait for it (honestly, i forgot long time ago), maybe because i played the Gauntlet mode so well on my second try, or maybe because good things always take a while. One of the most unique match-3 games has gotten even better - highly recommended!
Finally, i beat all levels in normal mode. What a satisfying relieve. And oops, the unlocked hard mode seems to be harder than hard. But hey, it's ok, i'm simply lacking some skills when it comes down to strategical brain storm stuff. Edit: against all odds, i beat Match 200 tiles...woot! If another update is still possible, the companion music, when triggering the skull, is way too loud. Ouch, my ears! Could you balance it out a bit more, please? (I always crank up that cool jazzy blues music and forget about it) Detonating all tiles should also be possible to get cancelled again. As slow as it fills up, i might forget that i can't and i will waist it, again.
There is a bug with the Gauntlet mode. If I pause the game and resume it later, when the the game reloads, the power-ups are all gone (the entire bottom section of the screen are not visible) along with your current scores. Therefore, you are forced to finish the current level without power-ups until the next level when they appear again. Can someone else confirm this?
Yeah. I get that too. Sometimes they reappear before the next level, but to be safe I always made sure I paused the game just before I completed a level.
