Survivor Bag version 1.1 has just been released to the AppStore.

It is an app created with survivor mode in mind. When you are stranded anywhere, without the access to phone line, no GPS, you still can use this app. It is a last resort to send distress beacon.

    Check it out:

Oh yeah, v1.1 is updated with Sound signal ability - for Morse Code and SOS signal, and also some improvement on the Light viewing controls.

Where does the Morse go? Is it just the phone broadcasting it? Neat app though!

IF YOU CAN HEAR THIS STOP I'M NEARBY STOP HELP ME STOP

Hi Sinecure Industries, sorry i do not login to this forum much. Thanks for your nice comments.

I dont quite get your question. I'll try to answer anyway: The Morse button will immediately transmit the morse code (via light and sound) of the message "HELP ME" (default message). The sound you can toggle it on/off. You can change that message by going to the Settings page. Just type it in, choose a preset speed (slow, normal or fast), and return back to the light viewing, and the morse code of the new custom message will be transmitted immediately.
    :)

Well, I mean, it's not hooked up to a telegraph... so if they can hear the phone couldn't they presumably hear you?

Well, there are some possibilities of unable to speak/shout in some distress conditions. For example, if you are stuck in a place where air is expensive. continuously shouting would only mean it will lessen the amount of air available for u to breathe. it may be rarely happen, but it is there when u need it.

and the morse also sends out light signals too, so that works for visibility of rescuers. And when they are close, just switch on the sound to attract attention.
