This game is damn good, why couldn't mojang pull this off? It has infinite levels, and easy in app access to mods. This is what I wanted when I forked over the cash for MCPE. Bring on the Mp!
What's so great about this is that if I build a bunch of massive cities (which I'm starting now), I can switch between modes after I'm done and can set up the settings so that the weather doesn't change and such which is pretty awesome oh and I'll never run out of space.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Controls are good, Graphic look out of the Box already very good and with the Updates that you can download they look even better then some of the Minecraft PE Mods.
Yep ! They actually have this category called "community content " where u could directly download maps and texture packs it's simple !
Nothing is better than getting chills down your spine when running from a pack of coyotes. The fear of death, so amazing. I lost my trusty steed, he had served me well, we'd travelled hundreds and hundreds of blocks, running, attacking and killing whatever we chose. Crafting a whistle allowed me to have a party of 5 steeds, although they were all lost through travels. Although if you mount your steed when under a tree, you pretty much die :/
That sounds really cool , might have to pick this up - and from the vid it looked like it controlled ok too .
Dude that happened with me when I tried to mount my camel in my house, in cruel mode -_- I spent so much time on that map :'(
Great game, no IAPs and loads of content. I've downloaded a 'MC texture pack' and this game is rocking!! It would be AMAZING too see something like strongholds or fortresses or castles perhaps anything generated that can be explored and perhaps contain other goodies. It is best described as MC when in beta phase with a perfectly smooth and quick loading and FPS on an iPhone 4, 4s and 5 & iPad 3 all great with settings maxed out. This is all I have to try on and it would also be AMAZING to see a cloud sync between devices, that would make this game an easy App Store number one. I would easily drop £9.99 / $14.99 on this and feel robbed for what MCPE have charged for there 'Alpha' release. Notch bailed from MC a long time ago and MCPE gets no attention while pc MC gets lame updates like 'fireworks' and other un-needed tweaks. I originally thought MCPE would be constantly updated but I was very wrong online multiplayer maybe improbably with an infinite world size but I'm happy with this and there is so much to do it isn't really missed (yet) again for future updates I would love, love, love to see this game capitalise and be DIFFERENT to MC buy staying single player and implementing random castles, mazes, traps, tribes, warriors etc and would be exactly as it is titled survival craft. Different phesis and complexity to MC all together, survive in this baron land against all kind of structures and mobs. No IAP and this is 110% genuine. This was on windows phone and android previously so hence the apple release coming after as the software is bundled and coded differently. Enjoy. PS : After being flamed on another thread, this is MY opinion and what you take of it is up to you!
Texture pack : Minecraft Ultra 1.2.1 Map pack : Minecraft full (village, temple, caves) set out in Minecraft style. Now this is what I wanted from MCPE. Texture and map packs are 'user made' so the devs are not liable for these releases, but I am now loving this and can't put it down! Woot woot!
Oh heck yes. I kinda want some more weird monsters. We have wolves that turn into werewolves.... How about giant crabs? Dinosaurs? Instead of castles, survivalcraft should have RUINS of lost civilizations. You know, like Jules Verne's "mysterious island" or "journey to the center of the earth"... Why not?
Sounds epic, a different 'era' to mine craft completely, dinosaurs and cavemen/warriors/tribes' with cave bases!
I also don't see this as a clone when mojang released and had ample opportunity to produce a good app when all they have done is freeloaded off of minecrafts house hold name and released what I see as a demo. When minecraft was an indie game it was loved and updated now as a dev company it has released a lame ass version on mobile and is flashing 'we sold 5 million units' all around the web. Yes it still could be great but as a dev company I am disgusted with MCPE and have lost alot of respect for mojang. 5 million units @ £4.99 and they don't / won't update and pay attention to it! They work part time? Not because of money, becuase they are lame!! That's nigh on 25 Million GBP!! It sold so much as countless people like me paid expecting it to be maintained and updated. However it has not been and as MCPE online and survival craft show it isn't because it CAN'T be done but because it WON'T be done. Without updates MCPE will soon or has already peaked and will slowly die from the App Store. I see survivalcraft as an app not a game, it is an appsolute necessity on my iDevices! The dev deserves full credit and if I was mojang I would buy this out and PAY the dev to develop it as they want with access and rights to all MC materials / data.
It has a inbuilt craft guide and runs a 2x2 grid then 3x3 grid from crafting table. Press and hold the item in the inventory and click each square to drop a single piece or drag and drop for the whole pile. It's similar to MC PC version.
