Hey guys, MCPE updated and is now a better game than SurvivalCraft. Let's close this thread and move on.* *These words only true if you really, really wanted to make a cake.
Ha! Gotta love the sarcasm. Still as an mc fan, I'm bothered that not only was the update lackluster after te build up, but it also has some bad bugs.
Is it possible to add some music kinda like how Minecraft and #sworcery has their "music"? I understand if you can't, getting music can be expensive and especially if it is custom tailored.
DO YOU WANT TO SEE >ISLANDS< IN SURVIVAL CRAFT ??? If the answer is yes, Then you need to show your support to make this happen.. Here is how you can do this, you Must add a comment of support in this thread http://survivalcraft.lefora.com/2013/06/02/infinite-islands/0/ On the official SC forum, as you may already know Kaalus the developer takes notice of what We the player would like to see in the game. So if we get a lot of posts in this thread we just might make this happen. So come on people get posting lots and lots ;D
You are not supposed to beg at all on this forum. It's not a simple case of looked-down upon, it's against the rules, friend. It would be nice to have islands if there's gonna be a point to swimming and boats. It does seem like any suggestion should be posted on his blog or forum; he hasn't visited here, has he?
Can't wait for farming. Farming + Ennemies beeing more dangerous + Having to eat / sleep is going to make the word way, way more interesting. ... Meanwhile, MCPE updates are causing game breaking bugs that prevent anyone from playing properly, wee \o/
I blasted my way to the bottom this time. Dig out some rooms for underground storage and living space. I wish we can craft furniture.
Excuse my ignorance and laziness, are there cave systems in this game? Mulling over getting it; a cave system would make me buy it!
WE NEED ISLANDS, Lots and lots of islands. Whats the point in boats and a big blue infinite sea if we dont have islands? Show your support on the official SC forum with this link below and leave a comment there so your voice is heard and counted.. http://survivalcraft.lefora.com/2013/06/02/infinite-islands/0/
I would like to, except the survivalcraft forum never works for me. I can't even enter anything into the reply box. And some strange person pm'ed me saying how we seemed "compatible" and "would love to get to know" me better. Creepy. I tell you what -- If he talks about boats again on his blog, I'd support the idea of islands there.
I got that creepy msg aswell bro lol. What a weirdo. And I know everyone doesn't like the official SC forum that much but it's the best place to get a idea noticed and supported in the hope Kaalus takes note that it's a good idea and implements it. So this is to everyone if you could just spare 2 mins of your time and add a positive comment there in the thread designated with the link shown that would be Awsom. Thanks ;D
Support for islands thread on official SC forum!. http://survivalcraft.lefora.com/2013/06/02/infinite-islands/0/
I wonder how many block away the water will provide hydration. At least 2 from the video. Might be 4 blocks, same as Minecraft. I do like that there are seeds for normal grass, and wild rye, because that's two new decorative plants to use (as well as proper rye). My only concern is that by the time I have the copper to make buckets so I can actually make bread, I won't really have a reason to want to make bread. Oh I'll have a farm, because that's a nice building project, but 9 bits of rye to make one loaf, plus access to copper, time spent reaping and sowing ... eh, me and my iron spear can carve through a dozen wild birds in that time. Hopefully Kaalus will add in something like a millstone block, so you can dump stacks of rye and come back later to collect the ground flour. It's a problem that Minecraft had too, in that you very quickly end up with so many sources of food that only the decorative features of the plants mattered in the end. On Xbox, we had one small mushroom darkroom that fed an entire server when it launched. After the adventure update, everyone needed just a tiny melon patch each to stay fully fed. I don't think there is any way for that not to be an issue though. I think Minecraft did something very sensible in making each food be associated with a different animal. Seeds for chickens, carrots for pigs etc. That gave them more functional purpose. I don't normally download other worlds, but look for one called something like "biggest elevator and sky deck". Someone found a way to make an actual elevator using trapdoors and delay switches. Quite compact, simple design, and really does work. It's one of those "holy crap why doesn't Minecraft have this?" moments. You can do a piston elevator over there, but very expensive and it's not very elegant the way it pushes the player around. This one just hoists you straight up. I'm going to steal the hell out of this design. I actually started up a new world. Got the best spawn ever. Right next to a cool set of hills, with prime tree growing territory. Heading south, I have a giant lake right next to the beach, and only a 10 block wide strip of sand separates it from the ocean. It's a full 2 minute walk to the other end, where a line of mountains jut out towards the sea. I'm building a small watchtower on that peak, and another at the original spawn. The land in-between will be mine. That lake will become a harbour, and I have lovely flat warm farmland inland from it, with mountains containing the whole. Seriously, best seed ever. So glad I restarted.
