Survivalcraft is #1, Minecraft #2 (at least in Canada) Both have no IAP. While we might be minecraft crazy, I'll take it as a little victory! I hope that TA actually take a REAL look at this game.
Yep. Survivalcraft has been dominating the charts I hope Kaalus adds more Survival Elements after the Hunger, Sleep and Stamina, since once you get used to what's there, there isn't really anything else that adds variety. Sure the fear of dying still lingers, I dunno. I'll probably try Cruel again. For the 4th Serious time
get this awesome game This game is awesome! There are horses and camels you can RIDE and bears, wolfs, boars, bulls, cows, werewolfs, sharks, pirrahnas, rays, and much much more. The blocks include diamond, wood planks, bricks, stone bricks, marble, and more. The graphics are amazing, too! Get this game you won't regret it!!!
Ha, that's pretty crazy. Might be worth it to stock up on some rocks and enforce a little population control. Side note, I love the drawbridge. Did you mine for the copper or is that creative mode? I've actually been mining partially with the goal of getting some copper to get some electric lights and stuff going. I'd like electric lights so when there's a big thunderstorm I can hit my observation room and flip the lights off to see outside better. .... Last night I worked more in my survival save. I went through the help and read up on many items. One thing I discovered was that Pumpkins are listed as edible. They also can sprout more pumpkins. So, my goals right now are to mine for copper and also do some world exploring to find some pumpkins to get a pumpkin farm going so I'll have a renewable food source.
I am playing in Cruel. That little square area to the left of the house is my mine (I just dug a downward stairway). I have been lucky enough to hit some good spots on the way down (although lately, it has been a little dry). I had not realized that pumpkins could sprout other pumpkins. I too will be searching far and wide for some pumpkins.
Wow that's amazing. My attemptd at cruel have not gone well. I died attempting to crouch on a half slab. I had full marble flooring, the stone bricks, whatever fancy things you could think of >_> I guess I'll try again
I'm right there with you. Previously built a house like the one in the picture... went exploring... missed a block and fell off a mountain :/ Rushed into a cave and became dinner for two bears... Thought I could kill werewolves from my rooftop... until he jumped onto my roof @_@. It's been interesting, but very fun. In the current play, I've had my roof get hit by lightning and burn to the ground. It truly is a rush to pop the drawbridge up and venture out (hoping it's not a full moon night when I'm headed home).
Your deaths were to the elements. Mine was to stupidity and curiousity So after I died, I had a new save and was building a mountain house. I fell off a tree to my death. This was my house when I half slabbed crouched fell off to my death :/
Sad day indeed. It was looking good :/ I would have had to put the game down for a few, just to calm down the nerves. The death aspect definitely has an effect. It made me more cautious, more aware (strange thing to say for a block building game), but when you finally get a building up, it just feels so good.
I know what you mean. I mean, my house had stables and everything. I was going to do so much. Then I died although that's the best part about cruel mode. The sense of reward and loss.
My drawbridge (pic 1 of 3). (is there a way to display multiple pictures in 1 post?) *Picture didn't post.
Let me try again. This is how I made my "drawbridge." *EDIT* If anyone can tell me a more aesthetically pleasing way to pull that off, I'd love to know how.
I really like the drawbridge idea. I think I'll make one where the two trap doors at the building flip up and a separate set of doors on the top flip down. So it closes the entire opening up like a drawbridge. Maybe I'd even put in a secondary bridge so it's even more imposing to werewolves and stuff. Nicely I'm a moron... I have some malachite blocks and chunks... I didn't realize that was unsmelted copper. Looks like I'm going to have power running in my survival save soon. On a side note, I just can't see myself ever playing on cruel because I get so invested in my creations.
Finally. See whenever I come up with a unique name for my Cruel world, I get a good spawn. I am close to a limestone mine, a desert and I can already make TNT if I dig down a little in the desert. You know, you can back up your Cruel world by just uploading to the dropbox. Anyways, the cave I got my resources in barely had any iron. Just a bunch of this stuff. Oh and that looks like a sick drawbridge
