When you die in Cruel, your world doesn't delete itself. You can use it, but it will always be at the die phase where you usually click to respawn, but it won't let you. I killed myself out of frustration, and learnt how dangerous matches are >_>
K, thanks. Found it. --- So what's your best "Oh Crap" moment so far? Me, I was exploring this deep cave system. I think I've reached a deep end and yet it goes further. Then I swim through a water-filled tunnel and see a lava pool. And the cave still extends even deeper...
So far, my worst "Oh crap" moment, was remembering the lack of an undo function when throwing down a few buckets of magma and realising that granite just wasn't going to contain the mischief.
I think challenge mode is just right for me. Creative mode would be where I try to build mega structures without worry about materials. Cruel might be much more satisfying to survive in, but I would hate to lose everything I've made.
One more block, one more wall, one more stairway, let me get a few more stones... yep I'm late for work. Happened to me the other day.
Just want to confirm, you actually had a tunnel full of water as part of a cave system? How big was this tunnel, was it substantial? Was it still water or a waterfall running down through a cave? I only ask because I would LOVE for there to be calm pools with underwater tunnels to swim through. You don't get those in Minecraft you see, but cave diving would be wonderful.
My oh no moment? I posted about it already but what the heck I'll rehash it. I showed my youngest son my cave that kept going on and on and on and ended up in a branch where a bear popped out of the shadows and killed me in one swipe. I had little health. The bad part was I had geared up to setup shop in the cave and ended up losing all of those items. .... Played a little this evening on my new creative save with the lighthouse I posted a page or two back today. I hope to make it impressive but part of me is thinking to start over and use regular terrain because flat is so boring to look at.
It was weird. It wasn't a waterfall because when I went, I'd rise and just hit the ceiling. And it wasn't really a tunnel. It was like more like... So I'm going through a regular cave tunnel and then there's a wall of water blocking the tunnel. So I swim through (freaking out cause I'm not sure how long it and I can't see shit) and end up in another part of the cave. But it's not like I climbed out of a pool of water, I just stepped out onto the solid ground. So it was kind of weird But yes there was a part of tunnel filled with water that I swam through to get to another part of a cave.
How do you get more than 4 hearts? I keep seeing screenies with something like 10 hearts of health. No matter how much I eat I stay at 4.
Infinite world? That is pretty amazing - but the price tag is kind of hefty. I think I've had my fix of MC.
I don't think so. However, you can create saplings which will grow into full sized trees after a day. Trouble is, most saplings are unsuccessful and die. Try planting about 30 in an area with a couple of blocks or so between each one, usually a few succeed.
$4 is hefty? Really? It's still three dollars cheaper than MCPE and has tons more features. When you are ready for some more Minecraft, you'll not regret the four dollars. Best value for money game you'll buy this year.
I'm starting to have fun with electrics. And. OH GOD THE POSSIBILITIES. It makes me feel like I'm 7 and rediscovering Lego once again.
Trees grow back guys. You just have to be in the right environment. The wind reader will tell you the wind, and the thermoter the temperature, you need to find the right growing conditions for your sapling, or it'll die.
Same here. Last night I decided to scrap a few worlds and start a fresh game of creative. I made a nice new lighthouse after making the land jut out into the ocean a bit extra so that it made sense having a light house. After that I built a path and an outdoor pavillion. I wanted some dusk till dawn lights inside and I ran into an issue. First the photocell works in reverse of what I needed. If it detects light then it turns something on. So I had to wire in an N (not) gate so that it would reverse the signal so when it tried to turn the light on it would turn it off and so on. The N gate though has to be on the side of a full block. That was the first issue as it meant making my structure look a bit different than I wanted. Second issue was that at night the lights created enough ambient light to trigger the photocell to turn the lights off. So, It flashed off and on during the night instead of just staying on. In an a-ha moment (not the band), I thought about making a separate location, sort of like a power station that would supply the power and invert the signal from the photocell. So when it was dark, it would stay dark at this location so the lights would stay on. I decided to make a tunnel connecting the two locations.. which got me thinking... why not just have a whole elaborate underground tunnel system like cities have. So I made the tunnel bigger than intended, made the walls/floor/ceiling red bricks, and used the metal trap door as a sewer entrance. Looks pretty nice. Wiring up more stuff should be easier. Eventually I want to make some traffic lights or cross walk lights or something. But I need more buildings. Here's a pic of how far I got... Like most people though I put wayyyy too much time into this last night. Best $4 I've spent on a game (or group of games) in a while.
