Did you guys find caves that were open or did you dig into them? Back to the sleeping mechanic, it feels like the game is designed to pretty much just skip the night which is one of the coolest parts of the game. You just have to sleep every time it gets dark and you never have to worry about it. I'm not sure the solution for this anyone? Maybe there needs to be a reason to stay out at night.
Lol, no. I have been surrounded by wolves in my well lit courtyard and chased indoors by a werewolf. Funny things those wolves, they seem to group in the oddest locations, at one time I had a wolf pit where they collected in a lit lower gutter... And they all just wanted a cuddle when I fell down.
Im a seasoned minecraft player. I run a server for a year and played many mods including tekkit and feed the beast. Survival craft is for me a very good experience. I totally dig tis game. Way more than minecraft pocket edition.
omg this look amazing Click on the upper right corner and select only textures. then scroll a little down and here it is
The list doesn't seem to refresh when just backing out to the main menu and going to get content. I had to force the app to close from my task bar (been playing to much today) to get it to come up. No biggie, got it now! Thanks. Looks great too! Those chests are sexy!
That's epic. I'm still living out of a hole I dug in the side of a mountain. This is my first foray into a Minecraft-style game and I'm really enjoying it, just not as creative as you guys. Maybe it's time to build a shack.
I'm playing on iPhone 4. Anyone else experiencing slight framerate issues? How do you just take one of something in your inventory? I had crafted 24 wood blocks but only wanted to move 3 to the crafting grid. --- So I went back and tried MCPE again to compare. Maybe it's just me but I feel like MCPE's controls are more responsive. You seem to chop and dig faster. I don't accidentally start interacting with blocks while I'm trying to look. It could be that I spent hours with the Pocket Edition and am just used to it. Anyone feel the same way? After 30 minutes in SC and then returning to MCPE, it's just not the same. Being hemmed in by walls on all sides, no caves, no lightning or thunder, no sunrises or sunsets, no electronic tools. I do wish the animals stayed away from lit areas. 1) It gives torches and lights a purpose beyond illumination. And 2), it makes your dwelling feel special, that it's your safe haven. Love using the spear. Beats MCPE's bow any day of the week. It involves skill and that makes hunting feel even better. But yeah, I hope more weapons are added. Machete, axe, spear is good for now, but I'd like stuff like a crossbow, bow and arrow, slingshot, a rifle, etc.
The toucharcade show comment on the main page of this site mentions this: At the top, we talk about SurvivalCraft and how it doesn't add anything new to the Minecraft formula it copies. Granted they are on the same genre (if we ever have an official term for a sandbox, block-building genre) and Minecraft is indeed an inspiration for this game, I don't see why he would comment that Survivalcraft does not add anything new. Kinda close-minded opinion. It wrongly gives the impression that Survivalcraft is an absolute/exact clone of Minecraft.
I guess that goes to prove we are all human... I really kinda hoped the guys that actually had clout wouldn't make the same schoolboy error, not impressed with that tag line one bit.
Ah, you just need to click and hold on one item in your inventory/craft table/smelter/chest until a red line appears around it, then you tap in an empty space to spread the stack of items. I like the idea of light deterring animals, but on the other hand I wouldn't want it to be strictly the case as it may take away the thrill of being vulnerable at night. Perhaps some animals could be more susceptible to the fear of fire than others? Hopefully the more recent posts by the developer on his blog site will coma as good news as he is readying updated controls for version 1.22. Really hope it's submitted soon I remember someone asking how this compared to Block Earth and Block Story, BE is a looker but very soulless, I hadn't heard of or tried BS, but I just downloaded the lite version to see how it fares. Turns out its rocking a substantial RPG element and may offer yet more block questing fun. Still, its certainly not as good as SC though but it may offer a neat tangent to the genre like Block fortress has done. I'll post more impressions of BS after a bit more time, I'm intrigued to say the least...
@mestre So what setting would this be? I'm guessing screen resolution. What about framerate limit? Could changing this affect performance. For resolution, what would be the optimal setting for iPhone 4, if you know?
Sorry mate i dont know, dont have iphone 4 so u need test it yourself. Framerate limit allow you play longer on battery, im using 60fps all the time and sometimes 30 when im far from home Sry4my english
