Some of the reviews are funny. Some are just people jumping the gun saying 'I hate this game it's gay' while others are still trying to figure out how to seperate stacks.
I've finally built my second stone shack. I've found 2 caves, they are relatively close together, which I'm thankful for. I've only checked one of the two so far, been setting up fort so I have a temporary place to call home. Upon entering the first cave, I got surprised by a bear, the tension was building up and it got pretty intense. I killed it, but I always have this fear of 'Will there be a bear that will come outta no where an rip me to shreds?' For some reason, I can't attach pics >_>
So is the game actually limitless? As in could I potentially with enough time and effort, rebuild an entire world? For example build a castle here, a few miles away build a village, another village, a mansion etc.?
That's what I'm currently doing, nearly lost several hours worth of building when I wandered away haphazardly. Thankfully I found it all. Seems never ending so far. Just build some roads too lol.
I created an account on youtube, and I'll be upload there my videos with my electric mechanisms and other stuff. first one: Rate and subscribe if you want. Thank You
Has anyone tried these alternatives to minecraft(Block Story, Block Earth)? Any as good as survivalcraft?
What control scheme are you guys using on iPads? I can play fine on my 4s, but when I try to play this game on my pad it is pretty tough with the default controls.
Block earth has great draw distance and graphics, but it has no substance. Stick with this, out of the half dozen I've tried, this one is the absolute tits...
In the item menu when you click on description, why not have the recipe underneath instead of having two separate buttons. Seems a bit clunky.
Perhaps the developer wanted to hide the secrets of crafting for anyone who wanted to figure it out for themselves? If not the case, i'd much rather the developer focuses on new content than tweaking what already works though (Except maybe the controls..) EDIT: scratch that, the community content really does, as one poster here pointed out, need some filter/search function. I keep meaning to ask on here if anyone has a world/adventure they feel proud to share, can't wait to see some toucharcaders magic in action. I think until that section of the game gets a redo, it's wisest to post direct URLs than suggest a name to scroll down for... Anyone got a link to a nice world?
Add me to the fan club! The immersion this game can inflict on you is rarely seen on iOS. Flashback to last night: I'm dropped of on a beach, they aren't coming back. Like anyone hoping to survive would do, I instantly start whacking down trees with my bare hands. I spot something out of the corner of my eye, (slowly turns around) " Is that a *^#%ing giraffe!!!!" It doesn't take long for me to acquire simple tools and weapons, and build the most basic of huts to make it through the night. Morning adventure uncovers a cave by a small pond at the bottom of a snow covered mountain, riddled with minerals I desperately want and need. After who knows how long I was down there, and four bears slayed, I climb out of the hole with my inventory full of loot. This is the beginning of my epic journey. I will construct my very own Winterfell. Just like my first minecraft experience, I'm hooked. I care about my world and survival. I have big dreams for it. Parkingtigers said it best (and had very good ideas btw), this game brings enough to the table to warrant excitement. It's simplicity and more realistic take on survival is great, and the texture packs are awesome.
In the item menu when you click on description, why not have the recipe underneath instead of having two separate buttons. Seems a bit clunky. Also is there anyway to create armory yet? Oh and please add at least two more inventory slots to the screen. It's only four and you could fit at least eight on the bottom of the screen
It's stories like this that just don't exist in 99.9% of games these days, I love this game for that, it's like that childlike perception of the world has been restored, and everything is new and fresh; a world full of possibilities... I know I could whistle up a fuggin huge citadel with minimum fuss in creative mode, but survival just feels so rewarding I doubt I'll ever stop building in danger. Kinda proud of my world, knowing its all been made the harder way. I'm in the same boat, really feel attached to my land, what I find amusing is that I keep building new areas after I put the game down. It's like the most vivid memory palace and because I placed every block, I know every inch of it. Is there a function included that locks the original authors name to an uploaded world? From the sounds of it, your winterfell would be a good place to explore one day.
