Yes, I would be willing to review it as well. I reside Lynnwood as well. LOL I have the 3GS and I'm pretty curious about this game.
Purchased this game when it came out which wasn't even that long ago. We love you HG! Glad to see updates are coming at a steady rate, really appreciate it keep em coming
So far so good. Been playing this since last night..standin up..in a darkened room..imagining the iPhone as my "eyes".. Way to go HHGames..
i wish it had the addition of touch controls with left and right rotation and not soley based on tilt or compass for movement. Just 3 options and the user can choose their control system. I've only played once but the tilt to move (i only have 3g) didn't seem that fluid to me.
It does feature touch controls in the the upgraded version. However, I wasn't too pleased with them. I couldn't get my character to stop where I wanted. Seemed like it wanted to keep spinning for a second or two after I let off the control wheel. I'll give it another shot, though. Maybe my screen needs a cleaning? To HHG, you still have a ways to go here, I think. While the shotgun is nice, I'd like the abilty to switch between the two guns at my leisure. As it stands now, when you pick up the shotgun, you only get to use it until your (6) shells are spent. While this fine, I may not want or need to use them at first. In otherwords, if I have things under control with the pistol when the shotgun appears, I'd like to be able to save those shots for when I need them most. Also, seems a bit buggier than version 1. Accuracy seems off now. Many times (especially with further away zombies) I was aiming right at them and my shots were pulling to the left or right. Also, there were a few times when the claw marks were appearing on my screen and when I spun in a complete circle expecting to get a faceful of zombie, there was nothing there? Unless you added the invisable undead, this could prove to be a problem. The game has great potential, and I appreciate the update, but it still needs something.
Hey folks, Thanks for the all of the feedback and thoughts! It's always nice to see what people enjoy and especially great when they can bring bugs to our attention. We're compiling a list of issues, ideas, bugs, and concerns - which should make a future SurrounDEAD better for everyone . Continue to bust down those zombies... It would appear we have quite an outbreak here. Jay - Designer - HHG Much love for that shotgun.
Lot of lag in this version where version one was very smooth and responsive for me. Quite a number of screen taps are not registering for shots or reloads, turning is slow and jagged which I think is related to the poor frame rate in this build. By Day 8 it became so bogged down I did not even bother moving on to Day 9.
I think this game would be better if your back was to a wall instead of you standing in the middle of an arena-like circle. That way you could turn left, right, forward and blast away instead of having to spin all around constantly getting dizzy. I suppose it would've been ok that way if you could move around a little but since you are standing still why not have your back to a wall?
I will have to give this a try with the new update, i just found it frustrating that the pistol took so many shots to take down a single zombie and headshots were no more effective than body shots.
No Problem!!! We submitted a new version this evening, EP3: Barrels go BOOM!. Compass feedback has been increased by 100%. Thx! HHG
