Thanks, I wish it was sooner (or out of the box)...by then I'll probably already completed the game :).
Which is great so far, btw.

    Stuck on last level

So, I'm stuck on the level called "underworld gates" All of my warlocks are around me and when i touch each of them they begin glowing yellow, but then nothing happens... I must be missing something. Any help would be welcome.

    Thanks!

Finally properly played the game (till third sister)...all I can say is WOW.
    Loving it.
This makes me wanting iCloud much more then ever...so I can play it always :p

    Can't wait to play more!

A bit scared by previous comments, I didn't bought anything except the mandatory items to go on with the story.

When it comes to the vast majority of IAP-enabled games out there, I would have to agree 100%. In fact, if you were to search my name for forum entries, you would find that I am very outspoken against IAPs, and have drawn some criticism just as you have. However, if the game is good enough (and Supermagical is, in fact, good enough) it can get away with it. Let's not mince words, though; Supermagical would be a much better game if they charged $4.99 up front and balanced the drops so that you could play the game through without grinding. The only thing that should hold you back in a game like this is your skill, or lack thereof; not your cashflow. Every time I lost a battle, or got unlucky in the matching game, or even read one of those in-game hints, I was hit in the face with a pitch to buy more stupid Chococoins. Yes, it's good enough to get away with it, but the IAPs keep this game from being truly great.

I'm stuck here, too. There seems to be something glowing in the lower left corner of the screen once you select all of your warlocks, but it is mostly off-screen and tapping it does nothing.

I'm more and more fed up with the grinding. No, the levels aren't THAT random to leverage the grinding feeling - it's basically the same starting configuration with suboptimal bubble drops, totally not the same as playing a normal random bubble shooter (or Tetris). Going for 3 stars is fiendishly difficult on some levels, so that's not incentive enough; even wanting to know what comes after pales when I realize I need to play the same level over and over again for another hour just to pay the toll and move on. Shame, were it not for this stupid system (which isn't even freemium-styled - all good freemium games make you pay to progress FASTER, not pay to progress AT ALL) I would probably have finished the game. As it is, I'll delete it in disgust.

don't have such a defeatist attitude my friend.
The developer is active and listening to feedback.
Instead of whining and rage-quitting, leave constructive feedback for a future update.

Besides. This game kicks ass! :)

They apparently only answer to praises. Check the last dozen pages and prove me wrong, please. And about the constructive criticism, well, by listing my issues I think I've done my share (after all, I like the game enough to be here and speak out, isn't it?)
    Anyway, to sum it up:
    - remove the gate system (you can't enter this town unless you get a key / a tiger / a mad cow or whatever)
    - make hats stackable (replace hats with gems embedded in a crown, whatever)
and I'll be a happy gamer.
Unfortunately, the above would require a game update, and I'm quite sure it won't happen.

Actually, his post contained a lot of constructive feedback. Yes, the game kicks ass, but in the long run it will be entirely forgettable due to the paywall.

no way, the gate system is what make a contribution to makes the game deeper.
It's easily among one of the best games if it's on a DS platform.

I hope this game could be on the top 5 list for a long long time.
It will make a example to help people know what kind of games is fitting to IOS devices very well. And app store should always be a wonderland for talented indie and newcomers IMO.

If some people argue that this game is not grinding, they are wrong. This game DO NEED to grind, otherwise you cannot buy anything except the necessity. But at least it is indeed possible to finish without buying anything (but that won't be satisfying).
Just a bit advice, to enter world 3 you need to HAVE ALL INGREDIENTS for Epic Dragons. There are 9 items with total 9070 coins. Make sure that you have that spare coins when you're about to finish world 2. PS : don't buy complete Epic Dragons ingredients that cost 15000, that's ridiculously expensive.

But it's a bubble shooting game, do you ever play this kind of game before? I have one on my PC many years ago, it's pretty diffcult and no way to save the progress. So we just play the first a few levels a lot of times.
Same story for many many FC and arcade games.
For nowdays, there are a lot of games need you to replay to earn in game money and I don't think it's grinding.

That's the definition of grinding. Replaying levels to earn coins or resources. That's what grinding is.

I think the point is matching bubbles is what the game is, so it doesn't matter if you are in a new stage or going back to one you have completed already, you will enjoy the same way. Grinding in some games are just mindless repeating the same action over and over again (kRPGs I'm looking at you).

Sure. Grinding in some games is more enjoyable than in others. (And different people will have different opinions about which are which.) But it's all grinding, whether you enjoy it or not.

Yeah the dev team seems happy enough with the game (after all it got the prizes, it's featured, so it will sell a lot, and the game is crazy good anyway), they only answer to praises and technical stuff like people asking why it doesn't work on iOS 6 beta and stuff.

I don't like Angry Birds, but obviously it's a great game and most people love it. I wonder how much criticism it would get if you were obliged to score X points in a world to open up another and you had to replay levels. Puzzle Quest 2, a hybrid match 3-RPG, doen't halt you, you can lose a 'battle' and have to do it again but that's expected since you can also fail a level in Supermagical or Angry Birds or League of Evil or whatever and have to replay it, which is very different from grinding.

Wrong. Having the same configuration and the same goals over and over again, with the minor variance of the "ammo" color, isn't enough and I, for one, am not enjoying it the same way. I could get a bit more variety by doing all levels in turn, but that's not optimal from a time > coins conversion POV, and it's not that enjoyable either, because they're levels - after playing them three times, you know them by heart. [later edit] And don't get me started about the step by step navigation system, which is beyind annoying and another example of a system left intentionally broken just so that players could spend time or money to fix (by getting the Super Dragon that finally allows you to tap a level to select it, instead of tapping one by one levels in turn...)

[later edit] I think it's obvious the devs have considered the above, hence the three star record completion time system; however, I personally think Tetris, Columns, Lumines and all the other action puzzles succeed primarily because players create their own goals and strive to perfect themselves, without feeling discouraged by a record that seems out of reach.
