i think it's an acceptable marketing technique, but they need to post at least some in game screenshots. for now all i can say is 'wow. another ragdoll game. just what i wanted.'
i didnt want to market the game i just really like it and i think you will like it too the thing is we arent allowed to post any details
Hey that could be the problem. Hate the game? You might don't like a game but why hate it? I'm sorry to hear that, but you can't satisfy everyone right? Anyway, to you others who don't hate our games, you can expect more info this week! Thanks for your patience.
Hey everyone, we will uncover every few hours one of our 30 playable characters. If you want to see someone first let us know! Any comments welcome More info coming soon...
Are they just different appearances or do they actually have different STATS/ABILITIES? It may just be me but I find being able to choose my skin/appearance (ala Dizzypads or Puzzlings) fairly meaningless but DO like a game like Zombieville or MiniSquadron where the character you choose actually has at least a subtle effect on gameplay.
They all have different stats! Like health, mobility, armor etc... But you need unlock those characters first completing certain in-game awards and they also cost you something
Disliked is a better word I guess. I could see the effort and polish but I just didn't like the gameplay which isn't entirely your fault. I will probably buy this because the production seems brilliant but being kept in the dark and my previous experiences will not make my expectations sky high. I hope I am proven wrong.
Characters don't mean a damn thing unless I know what I am doing with those characters - Gameplay? Videos? Screenshots??? This is just about the dumbest way of unveiling a game I have ever seen. It's not cute or different, it's just plain stupid. Even if you say you don't want to make money on it (which I assume it would be free - add free), show some info on the game already. This whole waiting game is just an annoyance more than suspenseful.
Cool, I'm sure we'll give you plenty reasons to buy this by the time it's out... Just wait for trailer which will be out soon. But I understand your reasons...
Wonder what it could be . I love 33rd Division and Blimp, especially the artwork. I'm sure this one will be a success too.
If you don't like the way they're marketing (or not) their game, then go watch a different thread for some other upcoming game. You don't have to be so abrasive about it. Just makes you look like a jerk, and we don't even need any more characters revealed to see that
I find Craneballs cheesy teases annoying but...since they so far have delivered on pretty damned amazing games I'll cut them more slack than some completely unproven developer. I like this character approach then on two fronts: 1) Achievements will MEAN SOMETHING. Not just trophies but actual in-game content. 2) These unlocked characters will have unique stats making them play differently. Now, as a player am I able to click on any one of these guys to figure out WHAT I need to do to unlock them? While I'm all for having a few SECRET achievements (you'll just need to unlock them to see what they are) but I think the majority should be clearly stated (or at least display a decent clue as to what is needed to unlock them).
I wanna see Bot! Actually, I'm still very sad - I've had the beta of this on my iPod for some time, and it won't boot! (Not a crash/game problem - the mobileprofile and the app aren't talking for some reason.) Doesn't matter, I'll just have to get it when it comes out!
Stupid questions on my part, I'm sure, but: 1. Are you not even getting any errors? 2. Did you try completely removing from both device and iTunes and reinstalling? I've had a lot of problems with different betas not working, but a significant portion of the time a reinstall will do the trick.
Yea, sure, you can see full description of that award needed for unlocking! Thanks! You can follow us on twitter so you're sure you won't miss a thing!
I don't understand the fuss about the "marketing". You just have to be patient. Craneballs could have waited with reviling anything until they submitted it to Apple. And then you didn't even notice. Ok, I had the privileged to play/ beta test this game, So I can't complain. But trust me. Be patient a little bit more. I never had a game with the same "game-play-control" installed on my Iphone longer then a day. But with Superfall it is just different. It is a great game. The Characters are really great and fun. Like you can see on the images shown a page back.Together with the sound track, controls and game itself; it is a game you will play till the battery rans out. Like Guinness would have said: "Great things come to those who wait!"
