Can someone pm me how to get past the giant stone head in the cliff? Don't post in the thread for obvious reasons.
Assistance needed I was wondering if someone could please PM me explaining how to change the moon cycle without exiting the game. And what I need to do in the meadow where the sheep used to be ?? How does one achieve these?? Thanks in advance.
I'm stuck on the second chapter I can't figure out what to do or how to do it. The sworcery explanation was a little vague and now that I have to do the other two parts on my own I have no idea what to do.
This game is a great artistic experience! Amazing music and graphics! But if you expect classic point&click adventure, OR RPG, OR action game, you will be disappointed. This "game" is something like: Today I Die Again - more art than a game. If you are looking for a game - go somewhere else, if you are looking for a great piece of art - buy Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. Cheers, GamerAdi!
thats an unfair characterization, dont get me wrong today i die again is a great little interactive poem thingy, but this most certainly is a game, just with very artistic tendencies
Sure, the scale of these two projects is a huge difference, but in my opinion S&S and TIDA are similar - they are both more art than actual games. Don't get me wrong - S&S is amazing, but as someone said - if a player expects a RPG, he will be disappointed (for obvious reasons), if a player expects an action/platformer game, he will be disappointed - fighting is pretty simple (no tactics or hard action), and if a player expects a classic point&click adventure game, he COULD be disappointed - hardcore adventure game fans doesn't like fighting or arcade elements, and I didin't find yet any classic adventure puzzles. So, I will definitely recommend this game to people who enjoyed Today I Die Again, because they will be able to see the true beauty of Sword & Sworcery.
for me its the ipad equivalent to heavy rain, an adventure game with the emphasis on finishing the story rather than puzzle solving... and personally i haven't made up my mind if i feel this is art, im picky
is there a walkthrough? wondering if anyone knows of a walkthrough for this game? I could sure use one!!!
i just finished the game literally moments ago... the game seems like it was intended to be completed without getting very stuck, ive never beaten a point and click game before, so my first advice is to stick with it for a bit... that said id be happy to answer your question if u pm me to avoid spoilers
Quick question: am I missing out on much by playing this without headphones? Should I just put it aside until I've access to a pair?
Do you enjoy listening to music on your iPad without headphones, as much as you do with headphones? It's about the same with this game. There are audio nuances that you will miss, but having headphones is not essential to the enjoyment of the game, it is just significantly better with them.
Ok, I guess that sort of answers my question. Of course I know the sound quality will be superior with headphones; I guess I was just wondering if it were only a matter of that, or whether the game uses some kind of aural cues/clues that enhance the gameplay, such as spacial positioning or something along those lines.
Personally, it's nice to see all the tiny screen users have to wait for a change. Now you know what it's like to want to play games on the iPad that actually take advantage of it. No spoilers, but I've played the first session so far and this game is well worth the wait. Absolutely fantastic use of both graphics and sound and great dialog as well. I'm hoping to finish playing through the game this weekend.
man it is sad whats happend to "gamers" in 2011. why dont you just watch the damn walkthroughs on youtube.. go watch someone play it for you. holy crap. learn to do it yourself. i remember the old days when we puzzled over games for WEEKS trying to figure out what next to do in space quest or something. why are people so pathetic in 2011
I think it's partially games and media in general training us for instant gratification. I have a hard time playing through Secret of Mana due to the grind nowadays. It's a great game, but if you tried to release it today people would endlessly complain about the grinding and slow spellcasting and stuff. I think mobile gamers are even less patient than console or PC, just due to the nature of the platform. That's my 2c anyway.
I absolutely loved this title. While the gameplay itself is relatively flat, the context it is put into makes it magical. This is one of those games that truly shows craftsmanship, and while it is a short experience, it is a highly memorable one. I do worry that younger audiences won't appreciate the title due to their lack of a connection to the older games that it so beautifully provides homage to, and its relatively slow pace, but it is a true treat for mature game players. Absolutely recommend this game for purchase, immediately. iPhone version on the 11th of April (I think) if you don't have an iPad. Get now.
