I finished the first chapter last night. It's absolutelly wonderful. The battles are really exciting, although the battle system is rather simple. It was worth waiting such a long time for this game.
Finished last night, it was truly a unique and memorable experience. Hopefully there is more yet to come. On a different note I see that it has reached #2 on the charts, I hope that it can topple Angry Birds Rio for the #1 spot. Maybe a long shot, but it would be well deserved.
This was a pretty interesting read for a bit of the creation process of S&S from Craig, Kris and Jim: http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/gaming.gadgets/03/24/ipad.sword.sworcery.ars/index.html Funny. The game is out. I have it physically in my possession. I absolutely love it. Yet, I still find reading more about it (minus reviews and spoilers) almost as utterly fascinating as playing it. Weird.
Finished last night and have started a new game so that I can open up all the areas to dip in once in a while and enjoy the scenery. Really impressive game - I thoroughly enjoyed it. So, has anyone figured out the significance of the 'code' at the end of the game? No spoilers if you have - I'm just wondering if anyone understands what it means.
Haha, you should have seen me when I first tried! It was even harder in the earlier builds. I played it for days without getting past the second fight sequence!
healing During the trigon fights keep your shield button held down during pauses in the battle like the beginning. You will notice a blue bubble shrinking around your character. This will restore 1 star of health each time you manage to do it.
Great game. But i'm stuck in session 3. I try to avoid spoilers, but be warned...: I think I got all of those ghostthings in both realms, but I don't know what to do now... Both tri-things are still black and I get annoyed by switching between the realms (is there another way to get there.. I always have to walk miles: hut>cave>hut>through the whole dream >dream hut > tri-thingy-beam-place, just to check that both tri-things are still black, doing this for hours).
I'm having a strange problem when playing this game. I cant stop myself from falling asleep when i play it. Im only on Chapter 3 now and every atempt at the game makes me fall asleep. Don't get me wrong, the game is nice. But it has this strange effect on me. Superbrothers just gave me 3 awesome naps.
That's the way I did it. Just get there with full energy and hold shield between the phases of the fight. And dogging is quite easy if you look at the shield-button (it will change a few seconds before you need to doge).
Now to try to figure out how to change the phases of the moon and how that relates to Side A/B Something bout cheating and the hitting home and changing a name.
There's a way of changing the phases of the moon within the game, without resorting to changing the date on your iPad or any other stuff you may read.
Hey Guys, So I had a couple questions about the Gold Trigon fight as well. I couldn't find the answer in the posts. First - after defeating the Gold Trigon I now only have 4 health stars. i.e. It's not that I lost one star of health (eg. 4/5), but I actually only have 4 starts total. So, full health for me = 4/4 stars. Is that correct? Second - during the Trigon fight, I was never able to pick up the mushroom in the field. Is that correct?
Yeah, that's correct - your total number of health stars will decrease over the course of the game. I wondered about that at first, but is meant to happen. EDIT: Oh and don't worry about missing that mushroom - it isn't significant. There are plenty more mushrooms throughout the game.
i cant beleive people are actually posting hints and frigging spoilers in this thread. what the hell is wrong with you guys? you are goign to completely ruin the experience for half the people.
