Will Infinity Blade disappoint you? I can't say... Will Infinity Blade disappoint me? Definitely not. There's nothing to do in Epic Citadel, yet, to this day still jump in just walk around and enjoy the view(s). Infinity Blade will have more to do than Epic Citadel, so I'm going to play it into the ground and enjoy every moment of it. Super brothers looks so ethereal. I just can wait to float along with the melody of it's tune. Enchanted by it's style, really.
I really really really want this to come out before Christmas, but if I have to wait until my birthday in January, I won't be too disappointed. I like the graphics, and the gameplay looks original as well. This is my most anticipated game at the moment.
I'm with ya. Most anticipated game, easily. I too am praying for a December release. Nathan has cautioned that they might not do that because of the competition for December, but, lets keep hoping. On a side note, I think they are kind of reaching the peak of free marketing hype, with multiple interviews, Fantastic Arcade, GamerCamp, and the Electric Playground show. To me, it seems crazy not to get this thing out the door while it is THIS fresh in people's minds. Otherwise, you might end up having to spend a bunch of money on marketing. Just my two cents anyway.
It could be a good idea to launch in January, when people have received money or gift cards. It ensures, after the rush of games has come, that yours stands a chance to get purchased. People will have money and there will be fewer releases.
This game seems appealing enough to stand on it's own, and garner sales based on it's distinct style Aline. Competition or not. Seeing that it will launch on iPad first, will that version come out sooner than the version in question?
That's a good question. Perhaps iPad in December, then iPhone and Touch in January? We have heard that the iPad version will probably be released first. At any rate, all the speculation should be ended soon here.
S:S&S EP is nearing completion - the App itself*will be available on the App Store in the not-too-distant future. An iPad edition will launch first with an iPhone & iPod Touch edition to follow. http://www.swordandsworcery.com/project/
Great, that means I can't get it until January, since even if it does come out in December, it's unclear how much is left before the iPhone version comes out. And no, I am not buying an iPad for just one game.
Definitely not going to be much of a separation - we just need to focus some QA on one build at a time. Most of the testing functions for both iPad and iPhone/Touch, but some build-specific testing is really important
Thanks for the reply. Well I suppose iPad owners have to put up with the reverse of this for most games, so I'll manage.
Sweeeeet. I suddenly just got a little happier with my iPad purchase, though I will be buying both versions anyway. I think the extra screen real estate will do this game some serious justice. Can't wait.
I finally managed to see the interview and new footage. What can I say...I can't wait!!! (iPhone 4 here, unfortunately).
The more I think about this, the more I believe we are looking at a January release for all idevices. Too much is being released this month. With no new updates from Cappy, and Craig apparently taking on new work, I think the game is probably done, but they are holding it for a later release. ;(
love the graphics it's like King's Quest I Not a big fan of the music though I think it should be silent
Why would they be holding it for a release later? Isnt this the best month to release games no matter how competitive the app store gets?
Release a game now.... with lots of competition. Or wait a few weeks and not annoy the fan base (which has been waiting a lot as is) and release at a time with no competition? That isn't even a hard choice.
There;s always a lot of competition. Plus I see a lot of devs planning the same release in January strategy.
