Doh! Looks like that's not going to happen...

What do the developers mean when they say SBS&S is coming out 'shortly before' Thursday do you think? Could it appear during the day tomorrow?

Apple generally posts all new releases at around 11pm on Wednesdays.

    A few questions:

-Will Micro be part of the actual name?

-What does it mean by "iPhone and iPod Touch ONLY"? Apps can't be restricted to just these devices, can they?

-Finally, what are the differences between the universal and the 'micro' version (besides the obvious universal status of the former)? Are there any in-game changes to help the game fit the iPhone/iPod Touch, or is it just universal vs. cheaper?

Sorry for the questions, I just got kind of confused by the wording...

most apps are iPhone/iPod touch or ipad only, not universal, so yes they can be restricted to just those devices.

The cheaper version won't work on ipad, only iPhone and touch. Not sure what other differences there may be.

It works on the iPad. It's just that it's going to be stretched from the iPod's size to fit onto the iPad, which never provides a good result. Anyways, this is the exact same situation as World of Goo. There's two versions. They're the exact same game.

Ah, I did not know that not having an ipad. I just knew I accidentally bought an "HD" version of a game and it wouldn't even install on my iPhone so I just figured it was the same the other way around

OK, that's what i thought. Just had a mini-panic 'cause I thought something might have changed without anyone telling me (it's happened before :p). I feel foolish for even asking that question now, but I'd still like to know the answers to the other two.

I answered the last two. I can't answer the first obviously since no one could possibly know that besides the developers.

    Behind you!
The iPad version that's already out is optimized for the iPad. The new version that will come out is optimized for the iPhone and iPod Touch, but can still play on the iPad, it's just not optimized for it. The iPad version will then be updated to be universal. Basically, the new version that's coming out is the same as the iPad version will be when it goes universal, but it won't be optimized for the iPad. So, for us that don't have iPad's, we won't have to pay full price for iPad capability. Hope that helps.
