CRAP! I'm busted. Sorry to let you down, Jori. Additional analysis: To make a major announcement, the moon phase during GDC is MOST favorable on or about March 1st - 3rd. Craig has shown consistent favoritism for the waning crescent moon phase in his art. If you wanted just a SLIVER of the moon, it would be March 3rd. March 4th marks the new moon, which is also possible, but I find the waning crescent to be more appropriate. For the release date of the game, the most appropriate would be in the area of Thursday, March 17th (again, Thursday being the most common release for apps). The full moon falls on March 19th. So release the game just prior to the full moon so a "special event" will be seen by players on March 19th. The 19th is also a Saturday, a time when people would likely have more free time to play and witness something cool. Currently the Earth has come out of perihelion (closest to the sun) and is moving towards aphelion (furthest from the sun). However, perihelion was on January 4th and aphelion won't be until July 4th. Unfortunately... I can't figure out anything cool for these events as we have missed one and aren't too close to the other. Therefore, it must remain an unsolved mystery! So there you have it. World domination by way of S:S&S EP.
Lol are you the same guy who keeps posting dates based on any comment Capy makes? This is going the same route as that Microsoft doublescreen tablet that only had an animation video as a demo and people went ape sh*t - vapor. Also the writers at TA are optimistic not delusional. This is what's going to happen even IF it is still in production, iOS 4.3 will come out, then neurosis will set in they won't want to release it because of OS bugs, incompatibility - fast forward to mid 2011, hardware update, more pushback due to more neurosis based on new hardware implementations, more pushback to update the game to utilize the hardware.
Uh, yeah I guess I've made some assumptions based on what those directly involved with the game have said. Sorry if that offends you somehow, Cilo. I know the wait has sucked, and I too have been a bit snarky about it's release at first. But after thinking about it a while, does it matter when it is released? Do they OWE me something? Some promise of gaming ecstasy in a timely fashion *I* deem reasonable? Nope. So why not be optimistic and supportive instead? Negativity doesn't really drive people to their best work, in my opinion. Believing in their vision and seeing the possibilities, however, can.
im just glad this thread has got some action again. and that she likes me. and that S&S:EP will world dominate (p.s. 4th march would be super awesome, however unlikely )
Agreed! I'm just trying to have fun with the wait now. Wild speculations are a fun pastime. I'm just glad the developers are still willing to stick their heads in here from time to time, even with all the angst that rears its ugly head once in a while. Hopefully we can get past that, and get back to talking about a super groovy game that we all want to play.

To me, that reads... a trailer shown at GDC is probably going to have a solid release date attached! Nice! Go team go! Also (and not wholly related to S:S&S EP) it sounds like Clash HD may have an announcement for release on the XBOX and PS3 as well during GDC. Sounds more and more like GDC is going to be super duty for the Capy folks! Excellent work guys! Almost there! One last question for someone at Capy? Hey, while I was thinking about Jim's music reaching master status I found myself suddenly wondering, is there going to be a soundtrack released? Then I also started wondering (as it IS an LP), there wouldn't happen to be a real deal vinyl pressing going on for the soundtrack? That would be extraordinarily cool!
We'll hopefully clear up a great many thing in the coming days. As for the soundtrack, Jim's work on the game is really (intensely, IMO) special and there's no way we wont be trying to get it out there as much as humanly possible
Sweet! Thanks Nathan! As much as I would like to walk around playing S:S&S EP all day at work to hear Jim's music, it might raise some eyebrows. I'm glad to hear a soundtrack will be available and I will definitely be picking that up as well. Still, count my vote for a vinyl pressing, if possible.

Didn't you hear? Mr. Jesus already came back. He has just been lying low, waiting for S:S&S EP to come out so he could play it a while before getting back to work.
I signed up for their newsletters and I haven't received anything. I hope they have some loyalty to the people who signed up weeks or months ago and share any updates with them prior to a public announcement...
