I did a sync on both my iPad and iPhone within the settings menu of SSG2 and only the achievements are syncing for me (but I believe those just sync through GameCenter anyways). I was hoping the courses, unlocks, and my level would sync I remember other games that use the iCloud keystore (Punch Quest is the 1st that comes to mind), have never worked for me. I'm not the only one too, there are others where this doesn't work that well. I'm not sure what's up with using iCloud keystore to sync because I can never get it to work.
Not joining in anything here just throwing my hat in to say I'd still like pass n play added along with downloadable retina graphics from inside the game.
So how is this game? I only have about 2.50 in my account so I'm deciding whether to save or buy something. Considering waiting for Badlands in April, although I don't know if that game will work on my iPhone 4. I read there are only 20 courses in the game? There will be more, right? I had downloaded SSG1 when it was free a few weeks ago and that game had a lot of courses
SSG1 had a few updates before it got to 261 holes, the 180 in this are still pretty generous, and they're a lot more complicated too with all the new mechanics. To be honest if you enjoyed the first game you should know more or less what you're getting here. If not, no harm in waiting.
I haven't read the whole thread so don't know if this has been mentioned, but could anyone indulge me none the less please and either explain what I'm missing, or what the point is of a competitive golf game where you can purchase (unlimited? but either way) mulligans for real money?
I haven't played much multiplayer at all, but I don't think you purchase individual power ups, you just unlock them. When you start a match you both get 7 uses of any of your unlocked power ups.
If you're only using gift cards cant you just...you know..."move" to Oregon? Anyway back on topic I've been really enjoying this game so far. There's few 99c games I really like but this is one of them. Looking forward to the updates!
This is what I assumed as well, but upon running out of the original 7 was offered the option of purchasing more at 5 "currency" a pop. Hence my question. EDIT: This was in a single player game. Can anyone confirm whether this isn't an option in multi? But even so, at the very least it makes all leaderboards completely redundant, as anyone willing to keep paying can keep retaking shots until perfectly hit.
I hadn't noticed that option before. Anyway, just blew through all of my power ups in a multiplayer game and no such offer appeared. Can't open the little power up menu at all.
I dont think it makes mich difference in any event. Youd struggle to name a popular game where the leaderboards aren't redundant due to Game Center hackers anyway....
You could buy it as a tip to the dev for giving the first one away. Then you'll be pleasantly surprised just how awesome the sequel is or you won't care because you only bought it as a way to thank the dev for a fantastic game for free. But honestly, it's well worth the $1. Both SSG games are amazing. This one has side missions and extra powers that you can get through hats. I have hats that remove the penalty for hitting in the water as well as one that gives me an extra ball. This is really great and I'm only talking single player content.
I don't know how old you are mate, but if it's not too late, with logic like that, I foresee a splendid career in politics.
Hilarious... I'm old enough not to worry myself over things I've got no control over, especially when the creators of the issue have no interest whatsoever in / ability to fix the problem. Start a campaign to get Game Center sorted out and see how far you get.
the game itself is absolutely delightful, but I must say that the multiplayer is disappointing on android. one of the features noodlecake advertised was cross platform multiplayer across ios and android. however, what's the point of this when you can't search for a friend who's one the other platform. there is no difference from playing randoms on iphone to android... i really hope an update will come that addresses this issue. i think it can definitely done, seeing how games like bike race and draw something have similar mechanics. i mean, we all have to create a username for multiplayer, so why not let us search usernames?
Ok I bought the original a while back and I didn't love it as much as I expected to. Quite enjoyed it but it didn't set my world on fire. Is the sequel significantly better/different or is it a case of more of the same with better graphics and more power ups.... Also anyone know if it works ok on touch 4th gen? Thanks in advance
I have played the original and I really enjoyed it, but the second one blows it out of the water. It's basically twice as good as the first, and runs great on my 4th gen touch with no lag whatsoever. I advise you pick it up while its 99ยข!
One thing that bugs me slightly: when you first go into the game via a notification, it doesn't update the list of games. I have to tap the game that I got a notification for and then sure enough it's my turn. After I complete my turn and it goes back to the list of games it updates and then I see other games where it's my turn. I'm sure this is a bug. Hopefully fixed soon? iCloud syncing seems to be working for me, by the way.
This is a good point. But I'm not terribly concerned about the leader boards. The competitive part that matters to me is the online (asynch and live).
