We're calculating both sets of stats (with and without Golf Bux) on my site. Without spending any Golf Bux (assuming you've got the Gold Crown) the lowest score possible for Icy Land is:
Yeah, there are a few of these spots showing up. Others that I know about are in Candy Land and Sticky Land. Often they seem to be in crucial spots...
Here are my tactics for Icy Land WITHOUT spending any Golf Bux: Here are my tactics for Icy Land WITH spending additional Golf Bux: As you can see, to drop the extra shot here you need to switch from the Gold Crown to the Blue Wizard Hat and then spend 15 Golf Bux for 2 additional Pwerups.
It's strange you mentioned that specific hole as I was playing yesterday and stumbled on the exact same spot. I was a little to the left of center on the bottom of that U shaped rock... I didn't expect that to happen at all. I have one bux left to get on that world and am working on finishing up a clean run and then getting the gold as I aim to finish off the game.
Also in Farm Land, Hole 7, there's a terrible bug. In that little dip to the right of the green, if your ball is in there, and you select the sticky ball, it immediately gets used and you lose a stroke, even before you start the power meter. It happened to me in a campaign, and then I tried it again while practicing to confirm it.
Hmm I just tried this several times and didn't have that problem. Perhaps you weren't at a complete stop before you selected the Sticky Ball? Weird!
Did I read earlier that there are plans for adding new courses? Because I would like them now. Especially if they come with BUX and more achievements with BUX. But even without that - I need new courses!
with Bux... and yeah I'm with you there. More levels and a chance to earn enough bux for those last few hats. I think I have three remaining. ... I did play this some last night. I had saved the 5th tour so I'd still have something to do in the game and I finished everything in the first two courses and started the third. I figure it's time to finish this one off and then move on to something else.
Man, I went back and played the original Super Stickman Golf and there is no comparison. The frame rates are very low and the animations all look choppy and slow. It's amazing how much better #2 is, gameplay and graphics wise.
Yeah, turns out the ball wasn't fully stopped, though it definitely appeared to be, at least to me. Still, it shouldn't use up a stroke and a powerup, even if it hasn't fully stopped.
Being able to select a powerup while in motion and not be penalized for it was a glitch/quirk in SSG that allowed you to steal what was essentially an extra Powerup. From my site: This exploitable glitch/quirk has been fixed for SSG2 but there are others!
More info concerning those chasing extra hats. I'm playing on both iOS (iPad) and Android (phone). I've collected all the bux around the courses on Android and have done all achievements except hats and levels. I haven't bought a single thing except hats, and I've never played the hat lottery with anything other than a 100% chance of a new hat: Currently have two hats left to get and $215 equates to a 55.9% chance of one of those hats. On iOS I'm not so far along but I've used the same principles, and with three hats left to get $15 equates to a 7.6% chance of one of those hats. I'd be interesting in just how quickly other people have gotten the Gold Royal Crown. I haven't picked it up in either version of the game yet, which would lead me to believe it's uniformly the last one to be given. However, I've played people who are pretty low level who have it, so either they've shelled out a fair bit on IAPs or they've lucked out and picked it up early on.
Ok, I just did an asynch round, and watched my opponent play. He finished the hole in 3 strokes, but got a score of 6. I watched the guy play. He took 3 strokes.
I got the golden crown about halfway through the hats, before the silver crown even! Just lucky I guess? Right now I only have one hat left, the space helmet. 57 bux for a 4% chance... this will take a while.
I don't see the last bux in the castle level with the teleportation doors to unlock its Big Bux Award? Where it is? Just tell me the hole.
