So I'm playing online I won some and lost some... Is there a leaderboards anywhere or a rank for online? Or is online play for fun with no leaderboards or ranks?
Try this, it was posted at my site today. I tried a slightly different version of it which is to hit a sticky ball to the far wall as high as possible from the tee and then a laser Ball to hole out. I've already got the achievement though so I have no way of knowing if it worked or not. Sounds feasible though. Let me know if it works out please. EDIT: If you've got the Afro unlocked shoot a laser ball way up on the far wall from the tee and it makes the next laser ball shot a lot easier to set up.
I'm sure others have found the one big problem with this game's asynch play - you can essentially get as many do-overs as you want. I found this by accident when the app crashed on me. If this happens while playing a hole, the hole will get started over from the beginning when you start the game back up, rather than continuing from where you were. So obviously you could just force quit the app and try again if things have gone poorly. I hope this gets fixed. I have to presume that some people do this on purpose.
This happened to me once, but I lost the power ups I had used. Grrrr! I think that's what they put in there to mitigate this issue.
All I want is to have an in game chat. So many funny things happen and no way to contact the other player.
Well, I finally got the clean ball on Impossible Land. Shot a combined -10 on holes 1-5, 7, 8 & 9. Shot a 15 on #6. It's a par 5.
Ah, I didn't notice that. That does help as far as cheating goes. Still would be nice if it put you back exactly where you were. Now knowing that, if this happens because of a legitimate crash, and you lose powerups, then that sucks a little. Still it's rare enough that it's not a huge deal.

It's for BUX and XP. There are leaderboards, but they are only for scores on the tours (single player). I wish it had a summary of your win/loss record, but it doesn't. It does keep at least some of your past match results, but doesn't provide a summary. Maybe in future?
Strange! While I was playing Lunartic on Dungeon, my rage quit instincts took over and I exited the game without really thinking. When I loaded it back up, I was back at the tee and my previous strokes were still intact. Definitely not a favorable scenario. Now I'm more mindful to not exit the game
Would love to complete Impossible Land.I tried with power ups but I reached it limit (and wasted my bux). I think I will be able to complete it though. Anyway I wasted a lot of bux and now it will take ages to win bux in the multiplayer mode to buy the rest of my locked hats :-/
There is a point at which the cost of hats skyrockets. Right now I've got over 160 BUX and my chance for a new hat is only at just over 50%. At this point it does feel like they are pushing IAP. Plus I've still got, I think 6 hats to get. Or something like that. I can't imagine what the price will be for the last hat. Still a fantastic game and I'll be playing it for some time to come, but practically speaking I don't see how anyone can get all the hats without buying BUX with real money. Mind you, I paid for the XP doubler and for more asynch slots, and was happy to do it, but paying for BUX I'm less keen on.
Took about a dozen tries, but I got it. I ended up using the sticky nitro hat, put the ball in the sand to the right of the hole... then shot up as far as I could at a very slight angle... then aiming down, I had to just keep working it until both lines were not touching either edge and boom, all done. But I sware it was aimed like that a few dozen other times and it just wouldn't register. They need to edit this level and change the definition of where the green is since technically the spot you have to hit it into is surrounded by fairway and then that is surrounded by the green. You should be able to touch the fairway. Anyway, one left to go. Impossibly Possible - Get a hole in one on hole 3 of Impossible Land I'm still scratching my head on that one. The flaming ball shot to the left of the island in the sky where that hole is, at the point on the scale between 5 remaining lines and 4 remaining lines just barely clears the left edge but sails just over the hole. Ricocheting off the right side with an extra 15% power doesn't is just shy of hitting it. I've managed to land on the far right edge of that island twice, just can't get that extra tiny bit. Laser ball hits the wall and falls straight down. Magnet ball can't reach even with an extra burst. Nitro ball with extra burst as well seems impossible. Any tips? Is there another hat I need? I have all of them except the Space Helmet, Pope Hat & Gold Royal Crown. What a pain.
Blue Wizard Hat. Nitro Ball. Standard Angle. full Power. IMMEDIATE double tap on the first two Nitro Boosts after releasing go! Use last Nitro Boost after hitting far right wall to get back to hole out. Takes a bit of practice to time the last boost just right.
I've been fastidious about not spending any bux on extra special shots or levelling up - literally all of my bux have been spent on hats (I also don't play unless it reads 100% chance of a new hat). I'm now at the point where I have only two hats left to get, I have $174 and that gives me a 41.3% chance of a new hat. Based on the current increase in percentage as funds rise I'm guesstimating that $290-320 will be enough to get the penultimate hat. That equates to 50-70 more turn based wins as well as getting bux for the odd challenge while you play through a campaign round. Ultimately with regular turn based play you will be able to get all the hats without IAP as long as you don't spend them on anything else. You'll certainly get them way before you hit level 60. I've been playing the game for two weeks and have hit every achievement except the characters and hats (playing on Android so no race achievements). The nice thing is that none of the achievements are so insanely difficult so as to render them impossible without searching for solutions on the net. A lot of the time it's just a case of thinking inventively.
Unless you are hosting the match you will almost certainly experience some form of game lag. This will be somewhere between slightly annoying and completely unplayable.... I've all but stopped playing online race mode because of it, hosting the match is too much of a massive advantage.
Thanks. Got it! I couldn't do it that way but I ended up doing something similar. Blue wizard for nitro was the key though. A tiny bump above standard angle, full power nitro, once the ball starts to level out the first boost, after the wall the second, when that starts to level the last boost. Beautiful. Now all of those are done I can aim for finishing off the last tour with everything and then multiplayer with my son enough times to wipe out those last few achievements... just not the hats. As others have mentioned I see no way to get those last few hats in the game without IAP or sort of cheating. By cheating I mean using a PC with iTunes and iFunBox (or another filebrowser for iOS devices) and copying the save off the device, trying the Hat Lottery at a lower percent and if it fails, close the game, restore the old save and try again and again until it finally happens. I don't think I want to waste my time doing that. I think I'm more apt to start fresh and spend my bux more wisely.
The only thing I've used BUX for is hats. However there was a couple times in a row where I tried with 94% chance or something, and both times got a duplicate. Talk about bad luck. Now I'm only doing 100% as a result. There's no question that the price skyrockets when you are down to 6 or so hats to go. It feels a bit cheap. Upping the price disproportionately after you've gotten so far. But that's my only complaint with this game. I have sometimes experienced lag in online races, but not always. I would sooo love to have the chance to try an 8 player local race.
