"Starting May 1, new apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built for iOS devices with Retina display and iPhone apps must also support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5. Learn about preparing your apps by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines." If noodle cake intend to update ssg2 in the future then looks like we can expect an iPad retina update after all.
Yep. They could have saved some time and just did it anyway. Funny they used the dumb excuse to keep the game at 30mb for 3G downloads even though EVERYONE has access to wifi at some point in their day. So now they will be forced to do it. Kudos to Apple for making devs get their crap together. We live in an age of retina devices now and devs should have a standard of quality in this area.
I'm not sure this means what you think it means. There are plenty of iPad apps out there that just wouldn't perform at all if they'd been forced to add 4x the number of pixels to their assets. "Built for" doesn't necessarily imply they have to be native resolution.
This is true but super stickman golf 2 is essentially a "blown up" standard iPad res app. Not even the text is retina, very poor choice. They will AT LEAST have to make the text retina for their next update to be accepted.
Is anyone having issues with the iCloud sync? I have been playing on my ipad mini and can't get it to sync up with my iPhone. I am connected to wifi on my ipad mini and hit the sync button. It then says successful sync. But then I do that on my iPhone and I am still a lvl 1 golfer. Any help would be appreciated.
Use the laser ball on shots that require you to make it in small openings. I used that hat that gave me 2 extra special shots. Also I used to the sticky ball on hole one and on the outside edge of the screen a couple of holes. Other then that it just requires a bit of practice and a bit of luck. If you don't ace or birdy hole one on the first shot just restart the course.
It's as I feared, the pay for more powerups feature has officially sunk any desire within me to perfect most courses. As soon as I first saw that option it was far from welcomed by me. Oh well, not like I was going to be #1 (of legit scores) anyway. I'll do my best on the courses without it.
That stuff does get to me as well. I want to 100% the game, but the GC highscore charts are ruined. The only respit is seeing the friends list before starting a course and seeing all of my friends appear to play the game without exploits. So kudos to my friends.
I just put a post up about this morning. I don't have a problem with it as even with IAP it's still an incredibly cheap form of entertainment. I've got no issues whatsoever with Team Noodlecake making a few extra dollars from people who want to use the system. I'm going to go without for my own tactics but might look into it a bit more later. As for the Leaderboards, well Game Center Leaderboards are a joke at the best of times for any popular game. Apple has no apparent desire (or ability) to do anything about the hackers, so I don't loose any sleep over it. I prefer to set my own realistic goals and am satisfied enough when / if I can achieve them.
Yes happened to me before and what's with all those the level 60 in the game I've been playing this game a lot since the release day and I'm still level 25, damn you Jailbreak!!
Hacking the Game Center Leaderboards (as pathetic and obvious as that is) is one thing and easy enough to ignore, but this kind of hacking puts a downer on the game in it's entirety!
It's hard for me to ignore either one. Still, I'm progressing in the game. Finished everything in the first 4 sections... just gotta polish off the last one and up a few scores against my friends. In many ways this game is epic yet fails on being as big as it could be. I'd imagine a big portion of the online competitive side is ruined through IAP Hackers, hackers in general, and then just those with money to blow.
Yep, it's a MASSIVE let down.... I can still enjoy the game though by setting and going after my own goals and watching the progress (or dominance as the case might be) of my GC friends etc.
I'm still enjoying it, but I can see the luster wearing off soon. I won't use IAP so nathanchow-type scores are beyond my reach and once I tire of trying to squeeze out the last stroke using the standard 7 (until I get the gold crown, it's one of my last two hats), I'll move on. Still, it was a nice time waster for two weeks. It's a nice cautionary tale of how not to implement IAP in a way that actually affects competitive gameplay. If they ever implement a competitive feature that disallows IAP (e.g., a maximum of 8 for multiplayer, or, even better IMHO, NO mulligans or power shots for multiplayer), I may revisit it.
The same here, no syncing possible. it doesn't even appear on settings-icloud-storage-manage storage.
