We want to slowly move to either a Castlevania: Symphony of the Night art style or a Megaman X art style. I think we're going to do one more game with a Hook Champ art style, though.
please tell me that it will have innovative controls, maybe something with a draw slasher like attack system, if not, make it with awesome graphics and rpg system!
Data storage Can you guys make it where data is saved through OF servers? I talked to a guy at feint and he said its possible! And im not talking about achievements and scores...
I have pretty much lost faith in this game comming out anytime soon, it WAS supposed to come out at the beginning of May, then Kepa got sick, so the middle of May, then he got sick again? and now they are beta testing it, but wasen't it supposed be released in May? I know Kepa has been sick, and they beta-test so its as awesome as can be, but I have no idea when this comes out, and when Kepa has been on, he's only talked about upcomming games....so when is this comming out?
Still going for May. We've really been meticulous about how solid the framework of the game is. Maybe overly so. This will pay off later, because it directly influences how frequent we can make new level updates. We want extremely easy to make, extremely fast to make content updates. Hook Champ level updates took forever due to a lack of a good level editor and code that wasn't modular enough. As another bonus, a really solid engine means all future games won't take nearly so long to make. Right now, we're rolling out a system at a time for bug testing. By Wednesday, we should be in the "adding whatever remaining stuff beta testers request" polish stage. Actual game content is pretty much done at this point, except that I want to give the levels another pass.

The way it works is that if the game senses u r missing data compared to online, u get it back! This is already in most OF (EXCEPT Hook Champ!!! I lost my data!!! ) and ALL Plus+ and Agon games! Stupid Crystal is TOTALLY missing this feature in total! (Loved Crystal, but losing my 100% Angry Birds save file was SO not fun it's not even funny!) There's still a save file, it's just that OF saves your data and if u switch phones or lose data then u get it all back next time u go online! not sure if you guys remember me or not, but I am one of the biggest hook champ fans in history, I havent posted here in a long time though, as I have completed all the achievements in hook champ, the gore levels were kind of a bust in my personal opinion, and there havent been any updates for hook champ to bring me back in a while (yes I only use touch arcade to keep up to speed on hook champ) I am pretty excited about SQH, but I thought I'd give my feedback from the videos i saw. First I know there is no way it would change, seems like everyone digs it, but I really think the playable characters are too odd looking, they look really disproportionate to the level, and really awkward. Second, I notice the hook just kind of shoots from above the head of the character, not really in any relation to their hand, it just kind of shoots out. Third, the levels definitely do not seem 16 bit. My comparison being Super Mario World. Those levels were absolutely gorgeous, but super quick hook almost seems like they took super mario brothers 3 levels and slapped some awkward characters. Finally, I just want you to know this is just my honest personal opinion feedback, regardless of whether or not I like what's going on with the art and animation, I really dig what kepa and his crew are doing, I will defiantly buy this game on release day, I hope you guys are featured on the app store.
This should be in on release day for Super Quick Hook, though it may initially be in a limited form. Hey, yeah, I remember you from the Hook Champ forum thread. There's going to be a Hook Champ update on SQH's release day, we've been busy. We're doing a music update this time around. I'm hoping the next trailer (coming out very soon) will address your concerns about the art. Even if it doesn't manage to, I'd still like more feedback like the above. If we can't address all art style concerns with Super Quick Hook, we could always revamp the game after it. Oh, the rope/hand relationship is somewhat necessary, to preserve the physics of the game. Can't really fix it unless we change the physics, which is actually something we might do with the next game that uses a grappling hook. For now, though, it's really hard to notice when you're actually playing the game.
i think kepa is focusing on the customizability of the level engine so more levels could be added easily, am i right? if this is true then i have no complain. aaarrgh release the game already
I'm not sure if this has changed since the last trailer, but could you make the characters less upright when swinging? It looks really awkward. I'm not sure if this would mess with the physics, or make the fact that the rope doesn't shoot out of their hand more noticeable, though. Still, the gameplay looks great. Can't wait to buy it.
