I'm interested in testing as well. Are you going to give us here at TA an advantage over Twitter or is it fair game?
I believe they were doing it through Twitter only. Either way I can't wait to play it. I haven't spent any money on games waiting for this.
You guys do know that the purpose of beta testing is to ensure the quality of the app. Not just playing early.
with the way some of these games are coming out, it isn't hard to believe that at all. people seem to give everything but constructive feedback, and confuse BETA for DEMO.
I usually never want to beta test anything (I declined an invite to beta test Half Life 2: Episode 1 because I didn't want to ruin any of the story for me ), but I'd be willing to test and provide feedback for this game. If it makes any difference, I played Hook Champ quite a lot and SNES games are kind of a weakness for me.
Yeah I give honest feedback and fill out the surveys and test the games for bugs! I dont just play early!
"rocketcatgames Beta tester call really soon. Not yet, though. No exclusive exploration character in SQH is necessary, only Avalanche Mode is that fatal about 4 hours ago" they sem to be reaffirming B34$T's post earlier hope school doesn't Stop me from joining beta group, pls don't comment after my post with just saying "I want to beta test" that's annoying and not the purpose of this thread
Oh, that Carl. I'm just going to put the call out on Twitter by the end of the week. Seems the most fair that way. Otherwise I'm just sort of ignoring beta requests; seems the most fair that way, too. You're not missing too much, we're just sort of doing boring UI framework things right now, and have been for over a week. To expand on the last message: We couldn't really do a hookbot-like exploration character, because he's not necessary. There's no time limit or enemy chasing you, except in Avalanche Mode. The most dangerous thing in the race levels is simply lava, which would be the only thing a hookbot-like character would be handy for. However, there's items that let you swim around in lava for a couple seconds, along with a new checkpoint system. The good news is that almost all the release content is actually done, including some bonus Nightmare levels we snuck into the game. It's just UI, menu, and shop stuff that needs to be completed. However, this is the stuff that makes the game actually resemble a game.
