Mostly, after 20 secs you'll see it if you almost get consumed by it but escape the avalanche will back off for a little
It takes about a minute and a half of high-speed hooking before the avalanche is at full speed. Until that point you can afford to make a few mistakes, as long as you recover quickly, after that you can still afford a mistake, but you must recover immediately. Essentially if you aren't back to absolute full-speed swinging within half a second the avalanche will have passed you. If you're fully upgraded you can try swinging out of the avalanche, but it is very difficult to do so.
Probably standard procedure, meaning tomorrow morning you'll see the [NZ] Topic (if everything goes ok). That's what happens when games are not released immediatly when approved anyways.
