Maaaagiiiiic. Our fancy new challenge system "syncs up" the avalanche mode for two players, when they're competing with each other in a duel. It's still random, but it's synced so that both players get the same random sections in the same order. That way, the ghosts are still accurate representations of what the other player did.
This may be a stupid question, but here goes. The music in the trailers, it will be in the game right? And are there going to be sound effects? There aren't any in the trailers, so I'm just curious.
yes, though that music is for the main menu where you select the levels, go to the shop, etc, each level will have it's own song and yes there will be sound effects
You're playing against a ghost of what another player already did. You won't compete against them in real-time, but you will see the ghost and its exact movements through a level as you compete. Now there is also a ghost of *you* when you set a high score on a level (this has nothing to do with the duel system). So everytime you play that level, you will be able to race against your own ghost (and what you previously did) in hopes of beating it, and setting a new high score.
Not trying to be a jerk, just wanna say my two cents. I for one, could not care less about cross overs. I'm not AGAINST them really, but I would rather the time and effort go into new SQH stuff rather than 'cameos'. I dunno, I just don't find them cool enough I guess. I didn't love the Minigore levels. They were neat for a tiny bit. But that wore off quick. And then I wanted normal Hook Champ. If it's just a cross over in a DLC character? Sure. I wasn't a fan of changing the game significantly though.
from what i know, there MAY be a cross over, but updates are coming out first, also new levels are being created for SQH as we speak
Crossovers will most likely happen, but they'll be of smaller scope this time. Stuff like Easter Eggs where you'll find the star of another game in a secret area. No complete takeovers or anything. Oh, except Hook Champ -> SQH crossovers. Expect the hell out of that.
Torture! This IS worse than water-boarding. I think these good games from known developers should have a jump on review over crapps.
