Is this game going to switch from openfeint to gamecenter when its is released? or will it support both? I think it would be pretty cool if SQH and hookchamp integrates multiplayer, like races and stuff in real-time
Agreed. At least for SQH. To be honest, hook champ doesn't quite do it for me anymore now that I've played SQH.
i'm not the most fond of SQH, I still enjoy playing hookchamp on my phone instead of SQH for some reason, i'm not sure why but the polish and general experience is still top-notch, i guess its just that hookchamp was my first love lol
Kepa answered the Gamecenter question a couple pages back. Basically, Rocketcat is waiting to see if 1st and 2nd generation devices will be able to use it. So I guess the answer is 'Maybe', though I don't think they plan to do away with OF either way. As for multiplayer, the current Duel system is the game's answer to multiplayer. Real-time races are not in the cards, as far as I know.
Hey guys, been sqh alot lately and I've just realized I'm only missing one achievement for the secrets, but i cant seem to find what level it's for as I have all the secrets in the game itself! It's called " dwarven deathtrap" I think... Can someone please tell me what secret in what level this is associated with? Thanks!
My shopkeep hat and secret level (or the magnificent hook/hat) still haven't unlocked yet, despite having played SQH quite a bit and opening/closing it many times. Pretty bummed out that I can't see what the super secret level is like

Dwarven Deathtrap sounds like the achievement you get for beating the Ruins levels, if I remember right. We were going to early on, but it got ditched as an idea. We might do it for the next game, since I think that would let us avoid a lot of achievement-based problems, actually. I'm doing a full playthrough (including getting all the secrets and achievements) of the retail version. Hopefully I'll run into some of the same problems people are having. If I do, things become a lot easier to fix. More details as they happen... if you can, post detailed bug reports to either the support email address or this thread.
Ugh. I can't unlock Eruption! mode. I can't get past magma ruins either. So difficult! Also-- is there a list somewhere of all of the secrets?

Thanks for the help everyone! Turns out the achievement was called "deathtrap dodger" and it was for beating the ruins levels like Kepa said, only the achievement was delayed and I didn't get the popup for it until now! Guess I should be more patient before asking for help!

Oh yeah, the portrait made me laugh out loud when I found it. I'm getting pretty good at this secret finding thing. Maybe it's because I want Gnomey reeaaally badly.
I have the same problem but no mater how many times i try i cant get past it even adding 1 more savepoint in the harder levels would make this game a lot less frustrating and a lot more fun
I have all the secrets, I only don't have the "Finder of Secrets Gold", Avalanche Surival Silver, Gold, Ultimate Hook Champ, Final Victory on Eagle Montain and Local Celebrity Gold... Eruption mode is so brutal! But it's improved my hooking skills a lot. Also, I found a way to (sort of) turn it into Avalanche mode. If you have an iPod touch 3G or iPhone 4, just use the negative color setting to turn the lava into water, and the Eruption into an Avalanche, lol. All my high scores have been on this mode. Oddly, all of my high scores have been on this mode. It takes away some of the pressure. I just broke 5k points.
I have Finder of secrets gold. I have found the secret masterpice. Where is ma gnomy?!? Is some sorta secret level secret required for him?
No, gnomey is glitched and hasn't unlocked for anyone. miklamagic: If you think Eruption is brutal, beat the dev score and try the secret bonus level. Kepa: Since you've updated the platinum requirement to global top 25 instead of top 5, I feel like you should incorporate some higher-point achievements that require you to place X amount of scores in global top 25. It's much more manageable under the current system, but still requires a good amount of skill in the game. I'm personally going through trying to get platinum ratings now. Finished the first 4 + Unknown Fate and the endless modes.
