Yeah I checked out the site. Sucks for the delay but at least they're adding features while it's delayed.

    1.99 for the duck? Wha?

1.99 wait so they make hookbot free but if you still plan on getting all the characters, the duck makes up for the price cut from hookbot so you're still paying the same thing.

I'm defintely buying all DLC. I want to collect them all.

But do the characters have advantages? Like Hookbot had in Hook Champ?

Well, I've finally started downloading this one..here's hoping it's worth $3, and different enough from Hook Champ to warrant buying both:)

Gnomey and Super QuackHook have small hitboxes, which does work out to being an advantage. It's not an overwhelming advantage, though. The duck's mostly that expensive because I wanted to make him more exclusive, to balance out how ridiculous the character concept is.

We have a release candidate now. We're testing it locally, then putting it on the beta group. We were delayed both for technical reasons and morale reasons: We calculated how many updates we've done for HC/SQH, how many months those took, how little money DLC makes compared to new games, and how many games we could have made in that time. Long story short is that we're going to be putting most of our effort soon into some new games.

Next game (you heard it here first): A top down shooter with retro adventure RPG elements. Think the first Zelda mixed with Ginormo Sword. It will have extensive modes and a long story mode campaign, while also being 99 cents. That price point will be an experiment for us. If it does well, we'll probably make at least one more 99 cent game, mixed in with the larger, around 3 dollar ones.

Wow, thanks for the exclusive info, Kepa! Sounds very promising:)

I picked up SQH last night and am soooo happy with my purchase. Can't wait for the future releases from Rocketcat Games.

Are you still going to adhere to previous promises to not price-cut HC/SQH? This has made me a confident consumer with your company:)

Thanks! We'll try to get that new game out as soon as we can.

No future price-cuts for HC/SQH, ever. For new games, we're also thinking about replacing release-day sales with extra amounts of exclusive early-buyer content. In SQH, you got extra hats if you got the game in the first couple days. For the next game, you might instead get an exclusive series of levels, with its own special loot. We're thinking about it, anyway.
